•Be very thankful for what you already HAVE accomplished instead of worrying about what you didn’t get the chance to accomplish when you wanted!
•It’s all about how you look at the situations that happen in your life and learn from them instead of wondering WHY this happened.
•Everything happens for a reason so learn the lesson behind it! And Love every up and down you come across.

I don’t do this just because I love plants it’s deeper than that..
I do this for every person that ever stepped foot into Campus Hills. I’ve been going here my whole life, whether I was in summer camp, basketball practice, after school, or even a family reunion. This building has a special place in my heart. Chances are that if you’re from the city, you’ve been here before. The pinkish one is the ORIGINAL plant that was placed in there when the building was constructed. It is currently 43 years old and in my care 🪴🙏🏽 The same exact plant that we all once laid our eyes on is still alive!! I started working on it last year on 01/31/25. Think of the memories you’ve had at Campus Hills and all that you’ve accomplished since those days. Be proud of yourself no matter what stage in life you’re in 🥂🫡🪴
Also, feel free to stop by and admire a piece of Durham history 🐂

A huge thank you to Durham Academy and Student U for hosting such an incredible Career Day! It was a pleasure sharing my journey as a Master Herpetologist and Interior Plant Designer, and introducing students to the fascinating worlds of reptiles and tropical plants.
The curiosity, thoughtful questions, and enthusiasm from everyone made the experience truly rewarding. I hope I inspired a few future herpetologists, botanists, conservationists, or entrepreneurs along the way!
Looking forward to making next year’s Career Day even bigger and better.
P.S. Whoever is taking care of that pacu fish deserves a raise—that fish tank almost stole the show! 😂🐟 Thanks for letting me borrow some of the spotlight.

Friendship flows like a river—growing, shifting, and finding its way no matter the distance. Some days it’s calm and steady, other days it rushes with energy, but it never forgets where it started. Grateful for the ones who’ve been part of my current from the beginning. 🌊
