I stand strong cause of where I’m from…not cause of where I’m going. My roots made me, I just pray the world doesn’t taint me🅿️

I don’t do this just because I love plants it’s deeper than that..
I do this for every person that ever stepped foot into Campus Hills. I’ve been going here my whole life, whether I was in summer camp, basketball practice, after school, or even a family reunion. This building has a special place in my heart. Chances are that if you’re from the city, you’ve been here before. The pinkish one is the ORIGINAL plant that was placed in there when the building was constructed. It is currently 43 years old and in my care 🪴🙏🏽 The same exact plant that we all once laid our eyes on is still alive!! I started working on it last year on 01/31/25. Think of the memories you’ve had at Campus Hills and all that you’ve accomplished since those days. Be proud of yourself no matter what stage in life you’re in 🥂🫡🪴
Also, feel free to stop by and admire a piece of Durham history 🐂

We were told that they’ve been together their whole life so they needed to be kept together.
•
What do you guys think we should name them? Leave ideas in comments down below ⬇️
