Student Sleep Health Week Spotlight 💡

Our final Student Sleep Health Week spotlight is Dr. Tanner Bommersbach, MD, MPH, a child and adolescent psychiatrist and Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Bommersbach studies large-scale trends in adolescent sleep, depression, and suicidal thoughts. His research found that more than 3 in 4 high school students are not getting enough sleep. This decline has been driven by a growing number of students getting less than 5 hours of sleep per night.

His research highlights the need for population-wide approaches to promote healthy sleep for all teenagers.
