Our first of two polishes that we're contributing to November's @littlelacquerbox now available for purchase on their website! This is a pre-order that is open from Nov. 1st, 8am PST - Nov. 7th, 11:59pm PST. ❄️🪾 Between the Woods and Frozen Lake 🪾❄️ "My little horse must think it queer To stop without a farmhouse near Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year. " - Robert Frost, Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening A stormy base with a sparkling pink and green shimmer, packed with silver scattered holo as well as silver holo reflective glitter, and with an ultra-fine particle icy magnetic pigment running throughout. This polish is one that looks best in the cat eye effect, where the magnetic pigment pulls away to reveal the sparkling base beneath. The visible texture from the reflective glitter may show through the magnetic pigment in velvet or glass bead styles. Please note: The presence of reflective glitter in this polish makes this polish quite textured, so a glitter smoothing coat or a thicker coat of top coat is recommended. Opaque in 2-3 coats. Cap: 75 Swatchers: @pretty.fluffing.ugly @crusty_canberra_cuticles @monicaholonails ✨ If there are any overpours left of this one, it will come to the @resistancepolish website in January, but I won't be able to make any new stock. #resistancepolish #littlelacquerbox #winter #robertfrost #limitededition by @resistancepolish

Thanks to all of you, we were able to donate an incredible amount of AUD $478 to @thetorchvic - an organisation that provides art, cultural and arts industry support to First Nations people currently in, or recently released, from Victorian prisons. This was $1 from every bottle of polish sold (excluding all essentials and accessories, i.e. top, base, and mid-coats, oils, magnets, thinner, etc) from October 13th-23rd, in celebration of our first anniversary. So, so grateful for all your support and purchases! Please check out the @thetorchvic and have a look at the work they do and the gorgeous art from their artists! #resistancepolish by @resistancepolish
🍰 @resistancepolish Where’s the Plum Cake? 🍰 Details: 🍰 Where’s the Plum Cake?: A deep, brownish-plum base with an iridescent gold shimmer as well as a mix of gold and silver scattered holo. Opaque in 2-3 coats. ❄️ Inspo: Plum cake is quite a popular Christmas/holiday season treat where I’m from in South India, but I realised after moving to Australia that it’s impossible to find here. First Anniversary Collection collage (a recreation of the launch collection collage, in fact) ft. @crusty_canberra_cuticles and her perfect swatches! Did you pick up anything from this collection? #resistancepolish #aussieindies #aussieindiepolish #indienailpolish #nailpolish by @resistancepolish
Our first anniversary collection is now live! I'm quite fatigued and emotionally wrought at the moment, so I'm not as verbose as I would like to be, but I just wanted to extend my genuine and sincere gratitude to every single person who has supported Resistance Polish through our first year. In addition to the charity polishes in this collection, I would like to also donate $1 from every single polish purchased from my website, from now until 11:59 PM AEDT this Sunday, October 18th, to @thetorchvic - an organisation which provides art, cultural and arts industry support to First Nations people currently in, or recently released, from Victorian prisons. Their aim is to reduce the rate of reoffending by encouraging the exploration of identity and culture through art. I, as an immigrant here, have been able to set up and build Resistance Polish on the lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. I have had the chance to explore my creative pursuits and make art on land that has an incredibly rich history and culture of art. So, in my own small way, and with all of your support, I would like to give back to the community in celebration of our first anniversary. @thetorchvic has their gorgeous gallery not too far from the city, and I hope to pay a visit when I can make the time and energy to do so. I have so much respect for the work that they're doing. Also, check out their website to see all the stunning artwork that they have for sale! Out of braincells and exhausted, but sincerely yours, - Vaishnavi (they/she) #resistancepolish #anniversary #aussieindies #aussieindiepolish #indienailpolish by @resistancepolish

It's time to unveil the mystery on Day 12 of 13, leading up to the official launch of our anniversary collection on October 13th, 6:00 PM AEDT. Day 12: Sweetest in Sunlight A colour-changing solar polish that goes from a bright pink to a darker reddish-pink when exposed to sunlight or any UV light, that has a red-to-gold shifting aurora fine shimmer running throughout. Opaque in 3-4 coats. This is a charity polish in memory of my younger sister, in whose honour I began this brand. October 13th was her birthday. $2 from every bottle sold of this polish will be donated to @rosesintheocean - a national Australian organisation based on the lived experience of suicide. They engage with different groups and institutions across various communities to further the goal of suicide prevention. To her, I say: My memories of you are sweet. Choreographing dances together, the endless singing, the selfies, the adventures, the furious arguments about who gets to go down the stairs first and the subsequent apologies. But no matter how sweet you are in memory, you were sweetest in the sunlight, when I could see you and know you were there, tangible.
