Gnomenreigen (Dance of the Gnomes) From “Two Concert Études”, S. 145, No. 2 Piano: Vlad Rotberg @vladrotberg Composer: #FranzLiszt A live solo piano performance by Vlad Rotberg, concert pianist, teacher, and founder of Resonance Music School, at the school’s concert in Dubai. Thinking about piano lessons for yourself or your child? Type “PIANO” in the comments or send us a private message to learn about our lesson options and how to book a trial lesson. Video: @kynexa.film by @vlad_movie Piano: @steinwayandsons Location: @steinwaydubai About the music: Composed in Rome in 1862, “Gnomenreigen” (Dance of the Gnomes) is the second of Franz Liszt’s Two Concert Études, dedicated to his talented pupil Dionys Pruckner. Interestingly, the études were originally written for a piano teaching method but became brilliant concert pieces. Marked Presto scherzando, the étude portrays a mischievous dance of imaginary gnomes through lightning-fast passages, sparkling trills, and sudden changes of rhythm and dynamics. #FranzLiszt #PianoLessonsDubai #MusicSchoolDubai #ResonanceUAE by @resonance_uae
