I’m just a girl who@loves this city, loves bringing people together, and apparently signs up for 5Ks without training. 😭😂

One thing about me, I will turn a room full of people into a choir. 😂

Flashback to when we opened the doors at Resonate, invited people to come sing and I taught everyone my original arrangement of “Firm Foundation.”

This is the kind of thing I want Resonate to make more room for. Not just performances where you come and watch, but experiences where you get to walk in, use your voice, meet some people and be part of what we create together.

No big audition. No pressure to be perfect. Just people in a room making something beautiful together.

So let me find out for real:

GRWM(M): Get Ready With Me… Mentally. 😂

Because apparently I invited people to do the Baltimore Running Festival 5K with me before remembering one important detail:

I am not a runner.

I’m not in shape. I have not been training. And now we have 18 days to figure this out. 😂

But honestly, this is exactly why I want to do it.

This isn’t just for the people who already run every morning and own all the right gear. This is for those of us who want to move our bodies, try something new, enjoy Baltimore and have a good time—even if we have to walk some of it.

So if you’re also not quite ready but willing to get ready with me, come on.

Okayyyy but the babies had a TIME 😂🎤💜

We turned Resonate into a little karaoke party for my Godbaby’s birthday and watching these babies grab the mic, sing their songs, dance and cheer each other on was everythingggg. 🥹

And now I’m thinking… should Kiddy Karaoke at Resonate actually be a thing?! 👀

Birthday party. Their favorite songs. Their little friends. A mic. A stage. Dress up costumes. And plenty of room to perform like they have somewhere to be. 😂

I think I found the perfect example of what I mean when I say Urban Whimsy Wellness. 🤏 💫

I finally did the Baltimore Bike Party, and THIS is exactly my kind of wellness.

Moving your body. Being outside. Exploring your city. Laughing with strangers. Music playing. People everywhere. And seeing Baltimore completely differently when you’re moving through it instead of just driving through it.

We rode about 8 miles, and what I loved most was that it wasn’t intimidating at all.

Some people were FAST. Some of us were taking our sweet time. 😂 There were regular bikes, electric bikes, scooters, people jogging, people doing wheelies… I’m pretty sure somebody probably had four wheels. 😂

It didn’t matter.

We were all just MOVING.

And I loved seeing how connected Baltimore really is. You can literally ride from one part of the city into another and watch the neighborhoods, people, architecture and energy change along the way.

That’s wellness to me.

It doesn’t always have to look like a gym, a workout class or something you have to force yourself to do.

Sometimes wellness looks like play. Community. Movement. Curiosity. A little whimsy.

That’s Urban Whimsy Wellness. ✨

And since the Baltimore Bike Party happens every month… I’m going back in October. 👀🚲
