A few lessons I’ve learnt in this season of my career as a corporate girly, while raising a family and serving the Lord through Restored in Christ. 💛1. Don’t apologise for having kids or try to work as though you don’t. Instead, be transparent about the rhythm of your day and hold yourself accountable. Your family isn’t a weakness to hide.2. Sometimes you drop the ball. You miss your child’s first assembly because a work trip comes up, and that’s really hard. But it’s also okay. You’ll be at the next assembly, and you are still a good mummy.3. Recognise the gifts God has given you and steward them well. We’re so quick to focus on the things we don’t do well that we overlook the areas where God has uniquely equipped us. Know your strengths, be confident in how He has made you, and don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself with humility, giving Him the glory.4. Sometimes deadlines, new workflows and training all collide, and your mental health takes a hit. It’s okay to have a bad day. Recognise it for what it is, a bad day, not a bad life.5. Wear your favourite colours, show up, and be grateful. Once upon a time, you could only dream of having the opportunity to do what you’re doing now. It may not be perfect, but it is progress, and that’s worth celebrating. 💛“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3 (ESV) by @restoredinchristuk
