This is exactly why I love MCM pieces!! 🤎...and it's AVAILABLE!

The bones were soooo good, and with a few thoughtful tweaks, this credenza got a fresh, modern take—without sacrificing the incredible craftsmanship that made it special in the first place.

Rich, modern mid-tone walnut, deep espresso details, sleek tapered legs, and a cohesive finish that feels both modern and timeless. ✨

This beauty had me at first glance… 😍

I’ve refinished this exact style of credenza before, and I loved the soft, sculptural look so much that when I spotted another one, I had to bring it home and recreate it!

The combination of warm oak and soft, light tones gives it such a fresh, timeless feel — equally at home in a modern, organic space or a more classic interior. 🤍

And that gorgeous oak… those clean lines… the simplicity is just perfection.

This stunning transformation proves that the right refinishing can completely reinvent a piece 👀🤎

These classic Kroehler MCM lines were simply way too good to pass by. ✨

The construction was incredible, but the finish was definitely ready for a refresh — soft, warm taupe, rich mid-tone wood base + champagne gold hardware.

And because pretty isn’t enough…she comes with 7 drawers of storage — 4 upper + 3 deep, spacious drawers.

Proof that sometimes all good furniture needs is a little new vision. 😉

Still obsessed with oak wood fluting and the way it instantly modernizes a beautifully crafted piece. 🤎

It’s one of my favourite ways to give traditional furniture a fresh, contemporary edge—adding texture, interest and just the right amount of modern style without losing the character that made the piece special in the first place.

Good bones never go out of style… they just need a little reinvention. ✨

➡️ Check out the before of this quality set of nightstands!

It doesn’t always take a dramatic makeover to modernize furniture. ✨

This set just needed a little… cleaning, sanding/stripping, filling imperfections, oak wood fluting, caulking, priming, painting, staining, a drawer refresh and new hardware.

Okay… maybe it was a little more than a little! 😂

Inviting and warm… 🤎 The perfect way to describe this new wood tone!

Stripping these nightstands down to bare wood—with all those angles and surfaces—was NOT for the faint of heart! 😅

But check out the before ➡️ to see why it was so worth it!

This Durham bedroom set is a perfect example of the incredible construction and solid wood craftsmanship you just don’t find in furniture today.

My client chose to give this set a fresh, modern vibe to complement their beautiful Sunshine Coast home on the southwestern coast of British Columbia.

✨ Stripped the nightstands and dresser top to raw wood
✨ Modified one of the nightstands for a more updated look
✨ Paint-washed and stained the wood for a soft, light finish
✨ Added a gorgeous sage green to the dresser
✨ Completely updated the hardware

The result? A beautifully transformed bedroom set that blends timeless craftsmanship with a fresh, modern feel. 🤍

What do you think — did we make the right choice?

The charm is in the details...vintage Bombay nightstands, beautifully refined to fit in today’s modern home.

A soft neutral taupe paired with rich mid-tone wood tops and oak wood fluting creates the perfect balance of warmth and timeless style.
