In this season, one of the primary ways Deborah @richlydeb and I are living that out is through @itsbeyondthewedding where we are helping couples prepare for a marriage that lasts beyond the wedding day.

Along the way, I’ll continue sharing reflections on faith, leadership, soul care, music and the things God is teaching me.

I had this thought. You know how some platforms allow you to report accounts that are “posing as someone else?” If that really was an injustice worth reporting imagine how many people would not be able to exist on here? Isn’t that unfortunately the reality now, people posing as someone or something other than their true identities? This has been a season of removing false identities and labels placed on me by myself and others. When you don’t know who you are, you become your titles. And what you are celebrated and promoted for. At the cost of valuable relationships. And even worse, the cost of your soul. So every day I practice 3 things. Gratitude, grief, and grace. More on that later as you journey with me.

This week is a personal milestone I’ll never forget. I officially passed be PMP exam with literally one second left on timer. This was a rigorous process of studying and dedication. With over a decade of experience in leading and managing complex projects and operations in a ministry context, I have the opportunity to formalize my experience and training through the PMI. Besides the fact that all I can think about is risk registers and issue logs, 😂, this is a reminder that you are able to accomplish whatever you put your mind and focus on. And it’s also a testimony that nothing is wasted.

Laughing is good for the soul.

Find some time to do something fun and ridiculous with your partner; like mini-golfing, building with legos, bowling.

Laughing together will keep your relationship healthy and happy.
