Whew! Some evening planning for the rest of the school year! Apparently it is possible to see past Easter during Holy Week.

Super pumped to have a plant night - it means I can go to the @art_terrarium and buy succulents!

Also Star Wars night is all about social justice!

Sabbath is so important for your body and soul. Sabbath to me is when I can cuddle up under a blanket with my cats. Take time for sabbath. Rest. Relax. Be filled. by @revjordand

Sweet sweet Sunday.
What a whirlwind of a day. How amazing and awesome it is to live into the call of connecting, loving, and teaching others about the grace and love of Christ.
This morning I was able to stand next to young disciples and serve communion, Sunday school was full of crafts! When I got home I took a brief cat nap with miss Gertrude. And before you know it I was leading a vespers service and teaching confirmation.
I am tired - but a good tired! My heart is full. And I can’t help but sing “it is well with my soul.” by @revjordand

Compassion Camp 2021 was a success! It was a privilege being able to lead these kids. We learned about how being compassionate to everyone can change the world and how we can show lovingkindness to everyone. The kids also collected 500 rolls of toilet paper to be put into the little food pantry. taken in West Des Moines United Methodist Church by @revjordand

I wish I could say that it’s “normal” to have two female pastors on staff at a church - but it’s not the norm. It is sometimes unheard of. But here we are breaking the norm and leading a church together.

Dearest Iowa Falls FUMC,

On a list of things I missed due to the pandemic - mobile office hours at the coffee attic in Iowa Falls. The coffee is great and I love being able to see members of the community share life together. by @revjordand

As a pastor in the UMC - we are itinerant, which means we can’t stay forever in one church. We are called to minister at different congregations.

Today I got to see several members of Washington Chapel that I haven’t seen since I was appointed to Iowa Falls/Alden. Oh what joy I experienced today when I saw them. These people molded me and impacted my ministry. They were patient with me when my sermons were not too good, they trusted me to try new things, and their words of encouragement continue to follow me in ministry. by @revjordand
