The short story of a long 10 years changing #greytogreen #wildlifegardening #gardeninstagram #rewilding A grey gravel garden surrounded by wooden fencing. No greenery or plants and there are houses overlooking the space. by @rewildgardendreams

From a gravel desert in 2016 to a green oasis for surgery recovery in 2026.

Growing a garden takes time and patience!

Last day of meteorological summer

Grateful for the garden. Even the bloody weeds in the patio (I know, I know, no such thing as weeds...😂)

Two grasshoppers talking to each other in the mini meadow! Oh this has made my day!

One (male presumably) was on the pink achillea and then jumped into the meadow. Then I heard it rubbing its legs to make a song to another (female presumably)! But maybe it was another male and the chirping was a competition?

Where do grasshoppers come from when there is no long grass nearby?!

This is why our gardens matter! They create a wildlife corridor for wildlife to move around and breed in.

How to watch swifts in Swift Awareness Week

These endangered birds have declined by 70% in the last 30 years.

If you're having a #reno consider installing swift bricks like these Green and Blue ones...you'll be providing a home for a rare migratory bird and supporting the next generations.

I went out into the garden late last night and heard some weird sounds and saw some weird stuff. My Seek app says this is a Box moth, an introduced species, only arriving in the UK in 2008. Can anyone confirm? #mothsofinstagram #moths #mothidentification #boxmoth by @rewildgardendreams

Don't be worried about pests like whitefly, greenfly or blackfly; nature has her way!
If you are patient, predatory insects like #ladybirds will arrive as if by magic. And boy do they like to eat!

I'm starting back at work next week. I had another heart scan today and I'm hopeful it won't show anything untoward (I feel pretty good at the mo'!)

So obviously this is the perfect time to start a new garden project 🤣

I've cut back some of the shrubs behind the pond and would you know it! I've created a new shady bed! Must need some shade-loving plants now!!
