This past week, our family came together to celebrate our living legacy, Mattie Hackett. 🤍❤️

My grandmother, Mattie, only made it to the second grade. She worked in cotton fields, cleaned homes, cooked meals, ironed clothes, and cared for others while living a life with very limited opportunities.

And now here stands her great-granddaughter, Mattie, graduating from the University of Oklahoma with her bachelor’s degree in architecture… after traveling the world, living in a few other countries, studying different cultures, and building a life full of possibilities my grandmother likely never imagined for herself.

Proud is an understatement. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover what it feels like to witness generations breaking barriers in real time.

Congratulations, lil Mattie Hackett. On to the next adventure kid…continue to go be great. We love YOU🥰

Mother’s Day has been good for real. My baby pulled straight up to church this morning fresh off the road so we could worship together, we grabbed brunch after service, then a nap!

Days like today remind me how grateful I am to be a momma. Full heart. Good food. Good fellowship. Good naps 😂🫶🏾

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mommas & mother figures out here loving, leading, sacrificing, and showing up every day!

45… and feeling deeply loved. ✨

Last week, my husband surprised me with a birthday dinner at one of my favorite spots… and filled the room with my people.

The calls.
The texts.
The pull-ups.
The came from out-of-town love.
The “got off work and still came” kind of love.

I felt every bit of it.

Special shoutout to my HUBBY… because the greatest gift wasn’t what he gave me, it was the thought, effort, and love behind it all. I was truly surprised!!

My heart is full. Thank y’all. Truly.🖤

February was full in every sense of the word. Work wins, family time, friendship, faith, fun, and a whole lot of movement.
