It is not every day that a murder charge is withdrawn, but that is what happened yesterday for my client charged in this case. I am happy for my client who walked from the dock into the waiting arms of his family. I wouldn’t trade being a defence lawyer for anything in the world. by @rhdefence

Check out our latest Google review from a Canadian law student who was charged with a criminal offence. I was happy to be named as one of Toronto’s top lawyers in criminal defence by my colleagues in @postcitymagazines. Every day I am in the trenches fighting for my clients, I always think to myself that I had better win some award or get some recognition for it. In all seriousness, I love practicing criminal defence and my colleagues who are in the trenches with me. It is the only thing I could ever do. by @rhdefence

It costs around $100,000 annually to incarcerate someone in the penitentiary. Imagine if we invested that same money at the front of their life, before they were old enough to be arrested.

I am very proud to be representing Mariama on behalf of the Canadian Constitutional Foundation. The use of police surveillance drones to assist with ticketing distracted drivers is a violation of our right as Canadians to be free from unreasonable search and seizure. Our client faced charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and fentanyl. After filing Charter materials alleging our client’s vehicle search was illegal and the arrest was also illegal because it was underpinned by racial profiling, the Crown stayed all charges against our client’s vehicle using today in Brantford. Counsel @the_kawi_lawyer and I are so happy for our client who was on a house arrest bail with an ankle monitor for nearly two years. I took this picture right after the stay and before the ankle monitor was removed. There is no feeling in the world like securing freedom. by @rhdefence
