Can I brag on my village for a second? They came from GA, MD, MS, NY, TN, TX, VI, and other parts of FL to help me celebrate 28 years of being me. The love is so so so real. 🥹

Thank you God for blessing me in such a special way. I hardly proactively celebrate my birthdays considering this time of year is loaded with grief. In fact, this was the 1st time in over 15 years I’ve had a true desire to make my day a big deal. Subconsciously I think I wanted to do it big for my baby brother who would’ve turned 🔞 on the same day (RIP BABY, see last slide for our memories)

To everyone that made an effort to help me celebrate in anyway (whether you called, messaged, posted, or pulled up on me) I pray that God grants you the desires of your heart this year. 🙌🏾

The calls, texts, posts, serenades, prayers, love, and more that I’ve received for my 27th have been unmatched. 🥹 Thank you, everyone, for the birthday wishes.

At 26, I celebrated milestones like moving to a new state, but the year began with a heavy heart as I laid my dad to rest just days before my birthday. It’s been a reminder of life’s dualities: joy and sorrow, growth and grief, gains and losses.

Through it all, I’ve been kept by the grace of God, standing on His promise to never leave me nor forsake me. He has carried me through it all, and for that, I’m grateful. This year taught me to embrace each moment for what it brings—whether a celebration or a lesson.
