MARC NELSONxSCABAL Brands sponsored inaugural Cross-Functional Class Competition & Winners announced for next steps to present & learn in Brussels & England! 🇧🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Three Rocky Top Institute/Product Development students from RMM 451: Maya Kokuryo, Sydney Skelton & Kate Cattani researched and developed five Fall 2027 Men’s Luxury Blazer concepts and specs. They handed their work off to RMM 421: Global Sourcing class to analyze and make pricing recommendations. RTI/Product Development students and five Global Sourcing teams presented.

*Swipe to see the winning Global Sourcing team when they were told they had won! Sonni Werner, Alyssa Valeriano, Elizabeth Soud, and Sofia Addeo will join the RTI students for the final class collab presentation at Scabal Headquarters in 🇧🇪 and a visit to Scabal’s textile mill in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿!

For Woojin Lee, Ph.D., teaching data analytics is also about teaching students how to tell the story behind the data.

In his Market Intelligence and Analytics course, he helps students learn how to assess the market, understand where a business stands against its competitors and explain what their findings mean.

Last Friday, our department was proud to be part of the launch of the “It Takes a Volunteer” campaign, celebrating the people and experiences that make the Volunteer community so special.

Our HTM students had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and help bring the event to life alongside Chef Tyler White representing our department throughout the celebration with a special spotlight on @food4Vols. 🍽️

A special shoutout to Dr. Kai-Sean Lee for showcasing his art through his sugar art display, featuring our beloved Smokey.
