You are invited to Nina Liv’s EP release event for ‘Softwired’ at Brønshøj Vandtårn October 22nd 🎻🦋

Drawing on the Swedish nyckelharpa, she explores the many forms of the string instrument through acoustic, digital, and electroacoustic sounds. The instrument dissolves and reemerges through granular synthesis, where organic resonances meet digital processes.

The EP explores the role of technology in our lives and the hybrid identities that emerge in the encounter between human and machine. Repetitive string figures, shifting textures, and cinematically structured compositions create a sonic universe where the boundaries between the organic and the constructed become increasingly fluid.

Norwegian multi instrumentalist Peter John Warner joins Nina on nyckelharpa and Sara S. Frost will select sounds for the evening.

The EP will be released on October 23, and at the event you will be able to purchase the CD as well as handmade amulets by Nina Liv.

The Markus Sollid debut album ‘Elastic Embrace’ is out!

On ‘Elastic Embrace’ we are taken on a sonic journey where worlds exist side by side, contributing to a unified whole, unfolding one another, complementing each other. It is an album that points to the ambivalence we live with when we experience our foundations or relationships transforming into something new. Light and darkness, melancholy and hopefulness become two sides of the same coin; seemingly contradictory emotions coexist and turn into something entirely different, something that expands us.

‘Elastic Embrace’ release ✨

Join us on 24 September as Markus Sollid celebrates the release of his debut album, ‘Elastic Embrace’, with live performances at Mayhem. The album will be released digitally and on vinyl, and copies of the vinyl edition, featuring artwork by Frederik Godsk, will be available for purchase during the evening.

There will be concerts by Margos, Margo Sanda and Markus Sollid.

‘Elastic Embrace’ unfolds an experimental electroacoustic sound world where hand played instruments and electronic elements converge. The album explores themes of transformation and coexistence, as light and darkness, weight and lightness, hope and melancholy merge in music that investigates what emerges in the spaces between. During the evening, Markus will perform a selection of pieces from the album alongside new works currently in progress.

Markus Sollid is an electronic composer and musician whose work explores the intersection of acoustic and electronic sound. Over the past few years, he has expanded his electroacoustic palette by incorporating a broader range of acoustic instruments into his music, moving beyond his earlier focus on the saxophone.

Nemo is the moniker of composer Emma Louise Ottsen Knudsen. On ‘Blue is the color of infinity’, Nemo is inviting listeners into her electro-acoustic universe of never-ending blue. She finds herself enveloped by the merciless vastness of the infinite — reminding us that what is larger than ourselves isn’t necessarily dangerous. It can also be a comforting blanket. A deep blue shield against indifference. A surrender to the intricate systems of nature that weave into each other, making us part of a greater whole.
