And that’s another season done!! With the house build this year was always going to be quiet but still managed to get out a couple of times.

Oulton park to finish is always a good one and the championship still on the line for a couple of guys makes it all the more exciting. After Marshall’s car had issues at spa we decided to share the drive which means I can learn from a blooming good peddler.

Quali: Marsh to be in the car to get used to it. He took it steady and got some good laps in. Managed a decent time even though we were on old tyres. More time to come but P21/33 1:41

Race 1: Marsh in the car again with new slicks on, good start and gain a place but then safety car which calms everyone down. On the restart we got past another and started building laps. Getting quicker and quicker taking a numbers of places Marsh bought the car home safe and sound. P9 1:38. Top ten in the first drive really happy and Marsh now in love with the little mini.

Race 2: Due to me not qualifying had to start from the back. Let’s do this!! Pace in the car but got stuck behind a few people maybe a bit rusty but lap after lap got quicker and quicker gaining places. Final corner and on the line pinched another place. Great finish. P12 from the back! 1:38

Big congrats to @stoffington1 on clinching the title on the final race. Throughly well deserved.

Loved getting out with the cnc boys and girls this year. Massive thank you again to @teammoarwin for the drive in his C1. Will be out in the mini again next year so might actually try to prep it earlier this time 🤦‍♂️

Wow! Best race weekend ever. The weather was beautiful and the cars were even better!

The @spasixhours weekend is something special that we had the privilege in competing in, and boy did we. The boys did themselves proud with some incredible driving.

@kebabman69 and Marsh were on it from the start racing into Friday night grabbing more and more places. Coming out of the car after the race we all felt the buzz and excitement for them. Two more races over the weekend and some great results with more trophies to be taken home.

Massive thanks to @ytcc.nl for having us on their grid. An emotional weekend for all but one I hope everyone enjoyed and thank you for such a warm welcome. It’s true the Dutch village is a special place and one we will hopefully get invited to again.

Now to buy a classic so I can race next year 😬

Donington weekend back with my favourites!!!

Quali: This car is a lot quicker than the c1 first time in it this season took some getting used to. Couple of free laps and got some bankers in, not too shabby plenty of time to come but dived out early due to red flag due to @lbully09 not behaving P20 / 42 1:23 time to come.

Race 1: it’s a hot one!! Good start got off the line ok then set off after @kebabman69 unfortunately misfire on his car meant got past ok and after @sevep778 who decided he wanted to do some pirouettes. Looked lovely but after he exited stage right was left by myself. Some good laps and decent pace until red flag put stop to the race. P14 and 2nd in class 🏆

Race 2: couple of casualties from yesterdays race but lets go. Not a great start so needed to set off after @jonjolee91 and a good group. Thought this would be a great race with bob behind. Unfortunately after only 2 laps red flag due to Marsh unfortunately getting “nudged” off. All back to the grid and we waited ages, temps climbing and getting uncomfortable in the cars. Finally back on the grid and race start again but Gary in his mini got turned across me into the wall and nearly collected Errol on the way back through. Back of the grid and knew it would be red flagged again. And that was that. What a shit show to end the weekend.

I absolutely loved being with the cnc boys and girls again. No matter what happens we stick together helping fix cars, giving advice and making each other laugh. Big thanks to @nichols.robbie @vannington and @dave818185 for coming this weekend hope you enjoyed it. Not the ending we wanted with only 2 laps but thats racing. Might have to get the mini out again this year!!

🏁 Team MOARwin is back!!! 🏁
…And what a return it was for the 399 with the @c1racingclub at Donington Park last weekend! With @joshwallis_fjs returning to the lineup and @riccywalker joining the MOARwin fold for the first time.

Firstly a massive thank you to @jelly_snake_motorsport who allowed us to turn up on Sunday morning to a scrutineered and weighed car, and as always provided a car that was built, prepped and ran faultlessly all day, despite no testing. Secondly a huge thank you to @raw_motorsport2009 for getting us out onto the grid, he’s tried to get me in the car many times over the last year but I’ve never really felt ready, so this was awesome to get back out in, as much as I love being part of the club behind the scenes, nothing beats getting behind the wheel. 🫶🏻

Also a big mention to @roblewis1991 of @drivingtorquepodcast_pbi who took a blank canvas of a car and almost single handildy made it fit on the grid and our ever high standards of car, with creative use of wrap! 👏🏻

After qualifying 43rd out of 49 cars we knew it would be a fun race, confident that we could see the time and that once we had extended runs we would all find it, with all of us rusty to racing and C1’s being our first race of the season. With Josh starting the race, looking like he was going to be late home for his dinner, he very quickly moved the car up to 30th by the fourth lap! Handing over the car to Ric one hour in, we were already running in the low 20’s which Ric maintained for his full hour, before handing to me around nett 22nd overall. My job then being to bring it home, find my own lap times and see where we end up. Eventually, after some overtaking and defending fun, we crossed the line P18, twenty-five places ahead of where we started!

Back on track!!!!!

When @teammoarwin asked if I wanted to join him and @joshwallis_fjs in the @c1racingclub 3hr race at @doningtonpark I couldn’t say no!!!

Now Josh and Nick are rapid so I would have to learn quickly to get anywhere near them to not let them down. Sunday morning get to track and @jelly_snake_motorsport has build a lovely car. Needed some stickers but @roblewis1991 was on scene to make it beautiful.

Quali: Josh on track first to check over the car then in I go, Nick after me then back to Josh. The boys set some pace. I was 4 seconds off but was far too polite letting people go. Time to come qualified p43 out of 50 quick cars.

Race: Josh started and what a start! 10 mins in and up 15 places that boy can drive. Calm and measured then onto me so let’s not mess this up. Managed to get to 1:40s pretty consistently, these are the most addictive cars to drive searching for that perfect lap knowing one slight brake too early or too late will put seconds onto your lap. We got up to p20 by the end of my stint with Nick to come. Out the car fuelled up and out he went some quick quick laps meant we got down to p18!!!! An incredible effort from Josh and Nick for us to finish top 20!!! What a race home safe and sound.

Wanted to say a massive thanks to all involved this weekend. Absolutely loved it, you forget how you miss not being in the car until you’re back in it. Special thanks to @joshwallis_fjs @teammoarwin for a cracking drive and big big thanks for letting me be part of the weekend.

🎶 399 IS BACK!!! 🎶

It’s been quite a hiatus, almost 4-years in fact, since 399 graced the @c1racingclub paddock - The home of the UK’s best endurance racing - but finally… WE ARE BACK!!!

I’m super excited to get back behind the wheel of a racecar and it couldn’t be alongside better guys. We’ve got fast lad @joshwallis_fjs returning to team, ready to pick-up where he left off with @riccywalker returning to Donington for his second stab at C1 racing after an impressive debut in the Gen2 car in 2024!

I can’t wait to get going again, it’ll be a baptism by fire next Sunday with no time to test and none of us having driven the car, but we’ll send it and see.

A huge thank you to @jelly_snake_motorsport for getting the car together and organising us and @raw_motorsport2009 for making it happen, I know you’re both always keen to get me back into a racecar so appreciate both your efforts to get us there 🧡

🎥 We’ll be out Sunday 19th at Donny, and the whole race will be live streamed on YouTube! Wish us luck! 🎥

Unfortunately I was working on the house this weekend so couldn’t get to cadwell but the boys smashed it.

Massive congrats to @lbully09 @kebabman69 and Marsh. qualifying 1,2,3. Finishing both races 1,2. If it wasn’t for some bad luck and in the second race a right numpty @kebabman69 would have secured 3rd.

Some great racing and no doubt a couple of beers to be consumed tonight. Shame I couldn’t be there but couldn’t be more proud of the boys this weekend.

Roll onto when we are all out together again!!!

Another season done, and a massive congratulations to Simon in winning the championship. You won’t meet a better human being build his car, races it and maintains it. Incredible!!

Quali: early start meaning no temps on the track but dryish. Even though we have a full grid some decent space so managed a few reasonable laps. P25/38 firmly midpack.

Race1: With no silverware up for grabs as missed a few rounds thought let’s start from the pits and try to test myself getting through the pack quickly without incident. Caught up the pack by cascades and started to get through them picking where I would get a better corner exit and past them into the next corner. Good race and enjoyed getting through people. Finished P21

Race2: Again from the pits to try to get through quicker this time unfortunately not the case got caught behind 3 cars fighting for there class win which took mate a couple of laps to get past. Got after the cars I. Front but delayed so took a little longer. Unfortunately a red flag shortened our race due to a breakdown on track so that was that for the year. Finished P20.

A good end to the year car came home safe and sound ready to be quicker next year. Tuition and fitness is on the cards for winter!!!
