Can someone please explain to me what just happened…….? 😵‍💫

UPDATE: I’ve been made aware that I’ve just completed a 545+ mile bike ride from the spectacular city of San Francisco 🌁 to the shimmering shores of Santa Monica ⛱️ with thousands of other riders, roadies, and volunteers in support and solidarity for the 42 million (and counting) deaths associated with the AIDS public health crisis. We rode to abolish stigmas, reestablish connections and community, and peacefully demonstrate radical awareness. This, I soon realized, was only the beginning…

After digging deeper physically and emotionally than I’ve ever been challenged to do before, I’ve come out on the other side a true believer in the power of love and the magic of compsssion. Whatever your flavor of suffering, whatever makes you hate, whatever makes you self-destruct, you are no less deserving of compassion. The road is fraught with obstacles and unforeseen snafus but by turning frustration into a focused beam of love, an obstacle becomes a portal to the next level of self-understanding. 💕

Enjoy these scenes from the road as the “love bubble” 🫧💕 willfully floated its way down the California coast this past week. A MEGA SPECIAL HUGE GINORMOUS ETERNAL DEBT OF GRATITUDE to PA State Representative for Civil Rights & Equality Brian Sims (@briansimspa) who shattered his collar bone on orientation day and donated his bike to me on day three when my bike was deemed unsafe (ask me to tell you the whole story next time you see me… true miracle). HUMONGOUS special thanks, of course, to all my donors and supporters and smiles and cheers and chants along the way. I’m so proud to have accomplished and experienced this indescribable event. I couldn’t have done it without the thousands of supporters, volunteers, roadies, friends, family, and fellow riders. So much gratitude. 🙏🏽

PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD! 🌎

firstly, i’m so proud of my new haircut by @siosiodeff owner of the legendary flex hair salon / rave cave @cutloosebk 💇🏼‍♂️🎀

secondly, i’m so close to reaching my fundraising goal by 5/21 to ride in the LAST EVER @aidslifecycle, a peaceful demonstration and epically epic challenge where i’ll be riding my bike from 🌁SF➡️LA🌇 raising millions of dollars and tons of awareness for the two non-profit medical centers who organize the event @sfaidsfound and @lalgbtcenter.

i’ve got many ties to california, having lived there for a time, returning as often as possible for refuge and inspiration. @cpt_dreamboat, @confessionsofaselector, @timoteo_gigante and all the rest of Team Qweirdos have been supporting this incredible event for the past 13+ years as it aligns with our love of cycling, a dedication to peak health, and a radical defiance against any threat to an individual’s right to healthcare.
