three interview setups. three completely different looks. same lights, same cameras, same afternoon.

move the key. change the direction. soften it. harden it. use the room. find the depth. let the ambient do some of the work.

gear gives you options. knowing what to do with it gives you a look.

go out there and be creative. ✌️

thanks crew for crushing this one!

don’t just show your work. show them when you’re working.

show the hands serving, the conversations happening, the quiet moments where people are learning, building, helping, carrying, encouraging.

show them working with others.
show them working for others.
show them working for the Father.

because the story isn’t just what we made.
it’s who we became while making it.

i am literally nothing without this crew: @vinnyandvanessa_ @eddieadesodun @ricio.96 @jesustexcoco @jorginho_araujo @mic.gef @yonahmichael_actual @skooliefilms

stop 4 of 4: pittsburgh, pa.

the best part about the last stop wasn’t the city itself.
it was reuniting with my crew.

you can go fast alone, but you want to go far, go with a team.

there’s something powerful about people who can breathe life back into you even when the problems stack up, the schedules get tight, the travel gets long, and the weight feels heavy. somehow a conversation, a laugh, a shared meal, or simply being back in the trenches together resets everything.

the greatest honor in my life is leading this team. not because of titles or accomplishments, but because i get a front row seat to the unique qualities hidden deep inside each person. qualities they may not even fully see yet themselves.

my role isn’t to mold them into copies of one another. it’s to encourage those qualities to come alive. to create space for exploration, failure, growth, curiosity, and discovery.

there’s something about shooting monochrom in the mountains. kinda goes against conventional landscape photography. stripped down, honest, all about light and form. snow, shadow, tree, rock. reduced to tone and texture. if color is description, monochrom is mood. this one felt less like documenting a trip and more like translating how it felt to be there.

five cameras, one goal: shoot everything and have as much fun as possible while building bonds that last.

@sunvalley was more than a breathtaking backdrop, it was a canvas for us to create something magical. huge thanks to @mthurk for bringing @ricio.96 and me on this journey. not just for the work but for us as friends. we came for the project, but we left with memories and friendships that’ll stick with us forever.

slide 1: recap.

slide 2: @nikonusa ZR + @sonyalpha FX3. a huge thanks to @the.pixel.connection for providing lenses for both the nikon zr and the sony fx3, shot with the new @sigmaphoto 35mm 1.4 dg dn II

slide 3: stills shot with the @nikonusa ZF and @leica_camera 28mm summilux. the autofocus techart M to Z adapter is next level.

slide 4: stills shot with the @leica_camera m10 monochrom + 28mm summilux and the @ricoh_gr_us griiix. is it me or do shots with the monochrom look even better in nature?

there’s something different about a crew that actually believes in each other. not just in the highlight moments, but in the long days, tight turnarounds, and unseen work. when the work stops being just a project and starts becoming a way to reach people. you feel it.

for us, it’s more than content. it’s about showing hope. serving people. telling stories that actually matter. there’s a different kind of care when everyone’s aligned like that. no ego, just execution.

it reminds me of our recent trip to ohio. blue-collar at its core. no shortcuts, no entitlement. show up, put your head down, and get it done. the only pride is in the process. pride in the people next to you.

that’s the kind of crew you want. that’s the kind of work that lasts.

there’s a few places i keep on a quiet list: the kind where if a gig lands anywhere nearby, i’m already figuring out how to make the stop. @larderdb is at the top of this list.

larder means a pantry built for preserving food. but for me, it’s always been about preserving something else: moments. the kind tied to a table, to a bite you didn’t expect to hit that hard, to the people sitting across from you and the miles it took to get there.

coming back wasn’t just about the food (even though it absolutely delivers). it was about chasing a feeling i remembered so distinctly: the first visit, the conversations, the pace of the day, the sense that you stumbled into something special.

and somehow, stepping back into larder, it all held up. not just the flavors, but the memory itself.

live encounters.

somewhere along the way we start worrying about how we look in the room… instead of asking who we can serve in the room.

the long game looks different.
it’s quiet.
it’s consistent.
it’s doing what you have to do, long before it’s what you want to do.

the call to serve rarely shows up with applause. but every once in a while God taps you on the shoulder and reminds you you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. and when it happens… it hits like a ton of bricks.

grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. especially when you get to walk that calling with people who see it the same way.

because at the end of the day — it’s always been His idea.

livestream = game day + opening night 🎥 🏀 🎸

weeks of prep.
site visits.
lighting diagrams.
audio tests.
run of show.
backup for the backup.

because once we hit “go live,” it’s a performance.

something unexpected will pop up — it always does.
but when you’ve practiced the fundamentals, you don’t panic.
you adjust.
you execute.

great teams don’t rely on luck.
they rely on reps.

preparation isn’t about perfection.
it’s about being ready when the unexpected shows up.

proud of this crew. on to the next one.
