Hi, I’m Ricki Lane.
If you’re new here, welcome🤗, if you’re not, you might need a refresher because life has been life-ing over here lately 😅

I’m a 21-year-old photographer based in Eastern North Carolina, and in just 17 days (yes, I’m counting down like it’s Christmas), I’ll be graduating from East Carolina University with my BSBA in Marketing… Go Pirates! 🏴‍☠️

I picked up a camera at 15 just for fun, and somewhere along the way it turned into something I couldn’t ignore. This past year, I felt a pull to stop playing small, take it seriously, and really challenge myself, and here we are. 👏🏼

I’m also engaged to my best friend, Jackson. My built-in assistant, personal hype man, and bestfriend. We’re getting married in one year!! 💍

Photography has allowed me to combine creativity with connection.. and to have a job that I truly love and passionate about while also delivering something special to others. How cool is that?

For the grads, the lovers, and the “just because.”
And yes… we’re going to have a lot of fun doing it .💋 by @rickilanephoto

Brooke, right where she was raised.

I’ve had the sweetest privilege of watching her and her twin, Brittani, grow up, which made getting to capture her senior pictures feel a little extra special.

Brooke wanted her senior pictures taken while her family was doing what they do best, farming. We even got them in the background of a few, and I have a feeling those pictures might just mean a little more as the years go by.

Brooke is TOUGH. She works right alongside them and isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. Or, as her daddy always says, “Girl Power.” 💗

I love when senior pictures actually show a piece of who you are and what life looks like for you, and these couldn’t be more Brooke.

Senior year looks pretty good on you, Brooke! 🌽🌾 by @rickilanephoto

Chloe & Nate 🦢

Their engagement session brought back so many memories of my very own proposal. Trying to figure out how to paddle properly, getting stuck, and somehow navigating poses on an unsteady, forever-moving boat. 😵‍💫

To the eye these are engagement pictures, but I love that Chloe and Nate now have a story to go along with theirs. They’ll remember the heat, the bugs, getting stuck in the mud, and all the laughing that came along with it.

I love getting to photograph and share this season of life with others, so much. taken in Birdsong Chapel at The Cornealius Properties by @rickilanephoto

Jordan and Josh are truly rays of sunshine.🥹☀️ They were ready to go bright and early on a Monday morning and were seriously some of the sweetest people I’ve ever gotten to work with.🩷 Such a fun morning with these two! by @rickilanephoto
