¿Puede la quietud guardar una historia?

La Sedeculta te invita a descubrir La verdad yace en la quietud / Truth Lies in Stillness, exposición de Ric Kokotovich que reúne esculturas en madera para explorar los vínculos entre cuerpo, materia y memoria.

A través de formas que evocan la silueta humana, el artista transforma maderas de la península de Yucatán mediante procesos de talla y carbonización inspirados en técnicas japonesas. Una propuesta para mirar la quietud de otra manera: no como ausencia, sino como un estado de presencia y transformación.

ALRATITOstudio is stepping into Art Week with two moments to meet in person—one in Yucatán and one in Mexico City.

In Yucatán, we’re reopening Nepantla for a pop-up during Art Week Yucatán: a chance to visit, see what we’ve been working on, and spend time together in a more intimate setting near Mérida.

A few days later in CDMX, we’ll be presenting LAMX: A place imagined, an exhibition bringing together artists from Los Angeles and Mexico—where the two are approached as overlapping territories of imagination, and where materials, forms, and ideas carry traces of memory, craft, and gesture.
