I put down the things that were holding me back and started using my mind, and little by little—with the right support—I started moving forward without even realizing how far I’d come. 🎬🙏🏽 Learning the business, logistics, and work behind filmmaking has shown me how much really goes into bringing something together. To be here at Cal State Long Beach studying Cinematic Arts is something I never even imagined for myself. 🖤💛 I’m grateful to everyone who welcomed me, believed in me, and helped me get here—and now I’m looking forward to what I can build and how I can give back. 💯👑 by @rickygee_

Big shout-out to my friend @mannyg_562 🙌🔥 We met a few years back, and one thing we’ve always shared is our journey through sobriety, recovery, and growth. 💯🙏 We’ve both come a long way, including on social media, but today was about something even bigger — education and opportunity. 🎓🎬

I got to bring Manny out to Cal State Long Beach 🖤💛, show him around the bookstore, check out the dining halls, and give him a little taste of campus life. I’m looking forward to bringing him around more as talent while I continue growing as a producer in Cinematic Arts. 🎥🎞️

Last night was DIFFERENT. 🔥 I’ve been blessed to experience some legendary shows, backstage moments, and green rooms over the years, all thanks to solid people like @livelaevents @fkoapresents @pharoe13 @radio_lbc @jjlbc1 @relickbeats @peterpromoter and the homies who stayed consistent from backyard boogies to major stages.

But them corridos? Whole different energy. I don’t even speak Spanish like that, but I felt every damn song. 😂 That sold-out crowd turned the whole place into a real fiesta. Growing up around Long Beach cantinas, that vibe felt familiar—but seeing it on that level was something else.

This is what Black & Brown Unity looks like— @ogscrapkingtv & @newmoneylildrawzz No color lines, no weird shit, just respect, collaboration, and moving forward on the same page. We’ve both seen injustice hit our communities, and too often that pain gets turned against each other instead of the systems and conditions that keep our neighborhoods struggling.
