MCTS Operator Robert G. received a huge shout out from a Route 33 rider for being reliable, courteous, and going above and beyond. Robert will wait for riders, if he sees them crossing the street and is always kind to everyone.

Did you know that MCTS gives 25 million rides per year?

That means that riders are being connected with jobs, medical appointments, grocery stores, recreation, and so much more! In addition to that 25 million, MCTS also gives more than 385,000 Paratransit riders per year.

We’re so proud to provide such an essential service to Milwaukee County! Graphic with a photo of an MCTS bus and text that says "25M Rides Per Year" by @ridemcts

There are less than two weeks left to fill out the survey for MCTS Forward!

Last week we had great conversations about the future of public transit in Milwaukee County with riders at @marquetteu, Milwaukee Regional Medical Center, @milwaukeepubliclibrary – Zablocki and Center Street Branches, Wilson Park Senior Center, County Budget Town Halls and on MCTS routes 35, 51 and 74. We also joined @greatermilwaukeecommittee, @mobilisewis Fall Summit and Intergovernmental Cooperation Council of municipal leaders speaking to civic leaders about how a network redesign can address budget challenges.

We enjoyed hearing so many thoughtful questions and ideas. You can fill out the survey until October 26. Visit RideMCTS.com/MCTSForward to read about the bus network redesign and take the survey.

If only 4% of Americans use public transportation, then why would 87% of Americans support public transportation?

Public transportation connects people to jobs, schools, grocery stores, medical appointments, places of worship, and recreational activities. Public transportation also helps decrease traffic and CO2 emissions. The 87% of Americans that support public transportation recognize how vital it is for everyone to have access to necessary life services.

That’s why it’s important for MCTS to remain strong. by @ridemcts

When Operator Kai'Maya J. noticed a semi-truck struggling to safely maneuver out of an intersection, she jumped into action. Kai'Maya moved her bus to a safe location before helping to control traffic, allowing the semi-truck to back out of the intersection.
