Today kicked off our first community event for #AWeekWithoutDrivingMKE! 🚌✨ We teamed up with our friends from the @ridemcts Freedom on Wheels program and our wonderful host organization, Pa’Ti Mujer, which empowers local women through educational programs and events.

Even though it was a rainy day, our amazing Bus Travel Training Specialist, Ludys, gave a wonderful presentation on all things MCTS. She shared crucial transit information to help us encourage our friends, families, and community to take advantage of everything our transit system has to offer.

There was even some exciting chatter about the group planning a bus trip together later this year to see the downtown holiday lights—completely skipping the stress of searching or paying for parking! There are so many routes and options to get to know your city by bus. 🗺️🙌

What would change in your life if you couldn’t drive? For one week, October 1-8, the City of Milwaukee and partners invite you to navigate our community without driving and notice what you find. The gaps. The connections. The community that could work better for all of us, including those who cannot drive. Are you in?

Our Vision Zero Policy Director, Jessica Wineberg, has taken the pledge to participate in the Week Without Driving from October 1-8 to support safer transportation for everyone.
