something i have been dreading but here we go…

Dear College..

Where to even start, it’s been a journey full of many highs and lows. You have molded me into the human that I am today. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to play on the Division l and Division ll ball. This game has done nothing but become my playground for over 18 years. Literally leaving blood sweat and tears out there. Thankyou for being my bestfriend.

Last week I made the decision to not finish out the semester and to focus on regrouping and getting my mental health back to where it was once before.

To any teammate of mine thank you for allowing me to always bring unmatched energy to the game.

Playing basketball this year reminded me of how much I love being an athlete. Being a competitor is in my DNA. 💯

Here’s what i’ve been doing these past five years 😂

-2019 SWAC ROTY
-2019 All-HBCU Second Team
-2019 Second Team All-Louisiana
-2019 Second-Team ALL SWAC
-#21 in D1 in Batting Average
-2021 First Team All Conference Carolinas
-2022Conf Carolinas Tournament & Regular Season Champ
-2022 First Team All Conference
-2022 All-Tournament Team
-2022 All-Defense Team
-2022 NFCA All-Region Team
-2022 D2CCA All-Region Team
-2022 NFCA Second Team All-America
-2022 D2CCA Second Team All-American
-2022 NCAA WOTY Nominee

What a ride! Thank you GOD!

To know me is to know all of the versions of me.

The good, the bad, the ugly, the lonely, the joy, the love, I could go on and on.

Believing in myself regardless of the rooms or environments that I step foot in always has been a down fall of mine. Often times I don’t feel worthy when I KNOW that I am.

We focus on the negative what ifs all of the time versus really honing in on the other million blessings that we have. As humans we are selfish and unselfish at the wrong times that often leave us hurt or broken on the inside.

I just want to continue to be a blessing to those around me no matter what. I love to put a smile on someone’s face because you just never know how much they really need it.

To my younger self…Thank you for walking in your FAVORED BLESSINGS. Thank you for not passing up opportunities to work hard and do the little things. Thank you for your amazing ability to love even through all of the obstacles! 💜 by @rikkelle__

Staying present through it all.

Trusting him is not easy but it is possible!

Sometimes people don’t understand that me yelling comes from me feeling like myself again. Too many times where I was down and nobody knew. But now they know.

Make them remember you. 😎🤌

I really be thinking im faster than what comes out 😭😭 Its all good, continue to be a kid in the game!

Don’t stress out about anything outside of your control! Do YOUR part to fit in the puzzle!

Being a kid again felt so nostalgic. Grateful for every moment from this past weekend! Reminded me of not only who I was, but who I still am…THAT girl! 🎯

•I knew that first pitch was a strike. 🤷🏾‍♀️ The umpire just wasn’t calling it all day, so I had to adjust and handle business anyway.

•Then came the DOUBLE celebration dance because one wasn’t enough. 💃🏾😭 If you’re gonna celebrate, might as well celebrate twice!

•God is so amazing! 🤎💫 Trust Jesus, it’s really the only way to true peace and prosperity!

1 v 1. 🤌

•Only way to go is to keep moving. The ball is always going to be in my hands, but thats accredited to the man upstairs.

•Favor not fair! Understanding that you will always receive what you put out..it may not be instantly but you will reap many harvests!
