Softball players and parents, this one’s for you. 👀🥎

Think college coaches are only watching what happens on the field? Think again.

Coach Rikkelle Miller sometimes stays in the car to see how players act when they don’t realize they’re being evaluated. How you treat your teammates, talk to your parents, and carry yourself matters, too.

Your talent gets evaluated. So does your character.

Batting .067 to All-American. 🥎🏆

Imagine starting your season striking out, frustrated, crying on the bus, and batting .067.

Coach Raquel Miller will never forget it.

But instead of letting the numbers define her season, she changed what she was focusing on. She stopped watching videos of everything she was doing wrong. She started watching herself succeed. She focused on being a good teammate. She kept believing in where her team was headed, even when she wasn’t where she wanted to be individually.

And eventually, the phone call came:

“You’re an All-American.”

Sometimes the season you’re struggling through becomes the story you get to tell later.

Keep working. Keep believing. Keep showing up. 💚

🎥 Watch Coach Raquel Miller share how she pushed through one of the toughest stretches of her playing career and became an All-American.

Staying present through it all.

Trusting him is not easy but it is possible!

Sometimes people don’t understand that me yelling comes from me feeling like myself again. Too many times where I was down and nobody knew. But now they know.

Make them remember you. 😎🤌

I really be thinking im faster than what comes out 😭😭 Its all good, continue to be a kid in the game!

Don’t stress out about anything outside of your control! Do YOUR part to fit in the puzzle!

Being a kid again felt so nostalgic. Grateful for every moment from this past weekend! Reminded me of not only who I was, but who I still am…THAT girl! 🎯

•I knew that first pitch was a strike. 🤷🏾‍♀️ The umpire just wasn’t calling it all day, so I had to adjust and handle business anyway.

•Then came the DOUBLE celebration dance because one wasn’t enough. 💃🏾😭 If you’re gonna celebrate, might as well celebrate twice!

•God is so amazing! 🤎💫 Trust Jesus, it’s really the only way to true peace and prosperity!

•Weekend VLOG loading! 👀

Thank you to SC State University Softball for an amazing camp experience! I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to learn, compete, and grow while being surrounded by coaches and players who challenged me to be better. Thank you to the SCSU coaching staff for your time, knowledge, and encouragement throughout the camp.

Most importantly, thank you to my parents for always believing in me, supporting my dreams, making these opportunities possible, and sacrificing so much to help me become the athlete and person I’m striving to be. ❤️

I’m thankful for every opportunity to grow, and I’m excited to keep working, keep learning, and keep chasing my goals. 🥎💙
