~ r.downstairs & friends no. 1 ~2 tracks (on wax!) from the first in a new series of limited lathe-cut 10” discs from the likes of r.downstairs & friends, this time w/ @liviacharman & @ryanlincolnn loud & club ready baby!A: Trench Foot (feat. Livia Charman)“This track is an rearrangement and adaptation of stems from a live hardware set I performed back in Fall of 2025, featuring Livia Charman’s vocal sample - lemme hear u put those boots in the dryerrrr 😏”B: Crush on Club (w/ Ryan Lincoln)“My housemate Ryan and I were booked to play a b2b on direct support for a Jersey Club/Juke/etc act, and we wanted to make a track to play at the gig. Ryan handled all the drum programming and creative direction, while I manned the MPC1000 and final arrangement/engineering duties. Two sessions later and we had a record !”plz read: These 10” records are cut one-by-one at @sliced_groove in Los Angeles, CA by the homie @chii_krane . These differ from a standard press in that they are not mass-produced, but unlike dubplates/acetates, can be played just as many times as your standard vinyl record. Records will be hand numbered, max of 25 produced! *last slide shows the lathe cut process*Given the production method, the price is def higher than a standard pressing. In order to stop from breaking the bank ourselves, these records will essentially be made-to-order based on preorders, with production beginning once sales close on March 20th, 2026. Records will ship around two weeks from preorders closing.We understand $35 is p steep for an EP, but rest assured we are only charging for the cost of production + bandcamp fees. Very excited to be playing in LA again this Friday, and even moreso with the ever-so-talented Rik Vinegar aka rikki downstairs coming down from Santa Cruz. Some of you may know we've collaborated on many a dirt rave from desert to mountain, as well as several years doing a little party called Send Return down in Long Beach. You'd be hard-pressed to find a DJ more dedicated to his craft and scene- the inspiration is palpable both on and off the dancefloor.It's only fitting that I return with this guy (where would I be without him) and y'all are in for a treat with the wax he packs 💥 It's Rik & Perry all night at @homagebrewing. ⚠️ SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ⚠️We got a last-minute citrus injection for ya.By some beautiful twist of fate, our absolute dawg R. Downstairs happened to be in town the same weekend, so naturally we had to drag him into the jam. Hailing from Santa Cruz and serving as one of the driving forces behind @tideswing.sc , Rik is a phenomenal producer and DJ and more importantly one of our favorite humans. The man’s got range. Peak-time stompers, late-night weirdness, sunrise wiggle, dubby drifters, you name it. Somehow it all makes sense. It’s why he’s shared dancefloors with crews like Texture Summit, Yoon Fest, Sunday Session, and the legendary Sunset Soundsystem via Sunset Campout.R. Downstairs will be opening the Citrus Zone, setting the table with a healthy serving of dubby downtempo goodness before things start getting properly sideways.Ticket prices go up next week. So last weekend during the carry-on, @dj.daizz and I had the wild idea of driving allllll the way down to the Mojave desert to surprise her boo and our bestie @_wyllie_ late Friday night. He was set to play Saturday morning, so we started scheming on our master plan. Somehow, despite basically all of Santa Cruz knowing about our crazy idea, Wyllie didn’t have the slightest inkling of what was to come (us). Thursday night, while talkin through our camping/food/timing for an admittedly long ass drive for one night in the desert, Daizz texts me, “ugghhh dude, what are we gonna do for the 6-hours there AND back? really not in the mood for that many true crime pods in a row”“lol ummm wait, what if we brought the MPC?” i half-jokingly replied16 hours, a short Friday work day, and a quick trip to the hardware store later, we set off on the most hilarious drive I think I’ve ever been on. When we pulled up to the site around midnight, Wyllie and crew were hanging at camp, and as we slowly approached, lights off, Ru Paul’s delay-drenched voice looped “UH AHH”, subie speakers blaring. gotcha bitch <3333Wyllie and the rest of our friends at camp were in disbelief. That had to have been the biggest smile I’ve ever seen on his face. The next day, he proceeded to play one of the most lush, locked in, ever-evolving sets of forward-thinking psychedelia I’ve heard in a long long time. anyways, we’re back home in Santa Cruz now with @liviacharman eating a breakfast burrito on the couch. guess you could say that was a mission accomplished. oh, and we’ve got two fresh tracks to finish up ;)@tideswing.sc forever!!!and yes i know all my dash lights are on it’s ok im a car guy and the obd2 reader said it wasn’t anything to worry about by @rikvinegar
