INTRODUCING THE BUDDY GUIDE 🤍

Since 2020, I’ve connected with nearly 1,500 seniors across multiple states and even internationally! From in-person visits and group activities to writing letters, I consider each and every senior I connect with a buddy. Along the way, I’ve learned a thing or two about building meaningful connections.

My goal is to make sure you feel confident and prepared to become a buddy too.

Sincerely.. from me to you 🤍

A space for my thoughts, my work, my passions, my advocacy. Not meant to be a highlight reel but a corner of the internet you can feel safe, seen, and inspired.

My new website is now live and I’m so excited to continue sharing with you. If you’ve ever grown alongside me, supported me, or simply found yourself here out of curiosity… welcome.
I’m so glad you’re here.

Sincerely,
Sara by @rimalmiss

@thebuddysystemofficial has reached seniors facing isolation in 50 states and 4 countries- meaning over 1,500 seniors know they have a forever buddy in us. 🤍

While many people are familiar with my platform, fewer know that its roots go far deeper than something spoken about during a pageant interview. My love for serving seniors began when I was only four years old. My MawMaw would take me to visit my great aunt at our local nursing home, and each time we would stop to visit the other residents in the hallways and the ones rocking on the front porch. Those friendships shaped the person I am today.

Every Halloween was spent visiting that same facility. Every Christmas my family adopted a resident. But the real work began in 2020, when COVID-19 forced seniors into deeper isolation than ever before. Before it had a name or became a platform, my goal was simple: smile so big they could see it through my mask. I couldn’t change the circumstances, but I could make sure love was still felt.

In 2023, I lost my first real buddy- my why. For a few days, I swore I would never volunteer with seniors again. After many tears, I realized I couldn’t stop. There would never be another one like him, but there would always be seniors who need a buddy.

Now in 2026, I stand here not only ready to take The Buddy System international- but proud to say it already is. Every senior I’ve met has been a relationship built with intention, compassion, and a simple reminder: You are loved. And you will always have a friend in me.

This mission started with a little girl walking the halls of a nursing home with her MawMaw. And today, that same heart is ready to share it with the world. by @rimalmiss

I’m so excited to announce I’m an ambassador for @kadaspromise!! 🧸💗

Many of my pageant friends are familiar with the mission of Kada’s Promise and I’m so honored to help continue Kadance’s mission of providing teddy bears to children facing hardships. April is Child Abuse Awareness Month so @theannelisemay and I hosting a Kendra Gives Back Event at Cordova Mall in Pensacola, FL!

Even more exciting- Kendra Scott of Pensacola will be hosting a Teddy Bear Drive the month of April and you’ll get 15% off your purchase for donating! I’m so grateful for their support and can’t wait to see the bears we collect!

I hope to see you at our event on April 26 from 1pm-3pm! Do some shopping and give back to an important cause 🫶🏻 by @rimalmiss

HAPPY MAIL DAY! 💌

I finished up my March letters for @loveforourelders and sent off some letters to my personal buddy’s! This month has been all about spring and sending sunshine across the country.

The rest of the month is focused on getting letters to partnered facilities so the love can continue to be spread all March long! by @rimalmiss

Finally got my hands on the new @royalinternationalmiss x @supermodelsunlimitedmag eyeshadow palette- of course a tutorial was needed!! 💜👑🫧

Let’s be real… hair and makeup is one of those daunting tasks when it comes to pageantry. Do you splurge on a pro or do it yourself? Personally, hiring a pro is one of my non-negotiable BUT I think it’s super important to know how to do your own hair and makeup too!

Hopefully, this tutorial will help you all out- whether you need it for a mock interview, appearance, or doing your own pageant glam. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions- I’m always here to help!! 💜💜💜 by @rimalmiss

PJ PARTY☁️💜🫧

We ended a super busy day with a super fun PJ Party!! This concluded Day 2 of boot camp and I’m super grateful to have had this experience… severe migraine and all 🤗

I’m getting super sad thinking about boot camp being over with tomorrow but my heart is so fulfilled knowing we will be reunited soon (with the rest of our sisters too!!) at Internationals. I’ll save the sappy for later… but tonight I’m overwhelmed with gratitude that I decided to give pageantry one more shot. Something about RIM felt like I needed to be there and this season has been everything I needed and more. by @rimalmiss
