@thebuddysystemofficial has reached seniors facing isolation in 50 states and 4 countries- meaning over 1,500 seniors know they have a forever buddy in us. 🤍

While many people are familiar with my platform, fewer know that its roots go far deeper than something spoken about during a pageant interview. My love for serving seniors began when I was only four years old. My MawMaw would take me to visit my great aunt at our local nursing home, and each time we would stop to visit the other residents in the hallways and the ones rocking on the front porch. Those friendships shaped the person I am today.

Every Halloween was spent visiting that same facility. Every Christmas my family adopted a resident. But the real work began in 2020, when COVID-19 forced seniors into deeper isolation than ever before. Before it had a name or became a platform, my goal was simple: smile so big they could see it through my mask. I couldn’t change the circumstances, but I could make sure love was still felt.

In 2023, I lost my first real buddy- my why. For a few days, I swore I would never volunteer with seniors again. After many tears, I realized I couldn’t stop. There would never be another one like him, but there would always be seniors who need a buddy.

Now in 2026, I stand here not only ready to take The Buddy System international- but proud to say it already is. Every senior I’ve met has been a relationship built with intention, compassion, and a simple reminder: You are loved. And you will always have a friend in me.

This mission started with a little girl walking the halls of a nursing home with her MawMaw. And today, that same heart is ready to share it with the world. by @thebuddysystemofficial

I HAVE A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🤍🫧🥳

The Buddy System has officially reached all 50 states!! This was set on my heart earlier this year and to drop off those last letters yesterday afternoon meant the world to me. The best part? We’re just getting started.

I’m also relaunching our Instagram account- @thebuddysystemofficial- as HQ for this movement!

FINALLY… In honor of @royalinternationalmiss’ 15th Anniversary, I want to get 1,500 letters out to seniors across the country. This is where I need YOUR help!

When you pledge, you’ll receive:
• Official Project 15 Certificate
• Public Recognition
• Service Hour Verification
• Official Letter Writing Guide
• Volunteer Resources (free stamps + stationery opportunities)

After competition, letters will be mailed to me and distributed to nursing homes and senior communities nationwide.

Nearly half of seniors have reported a decline in mental health in recent years. A simple letter can change someone’s entire day.

HAPPY MAIL DAY! 💌

I finished up my March letters for @loveforourelders and sent off some letters to my personal buddy’s! This month has been all about spring and sending sunshine across the country.

The rest of the month is focused on getting letters to partnered facilities so the love can continue to be spread all March long! by @thebuddysystemofficial

One of my absolute favorite non-profits is Love For Our Elders. Similar to my mission with The Buddy System, seniors are connected with generations of people through letters as a way to combat isolation. Today I want to highlight 5 of the letter requests featured for March.

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY 💌👼🏻💋🫧

Did you know Valentine’s Day can be one of the loneliest holidays for Seniors in nursing homes and assisted livings? Many move in after the passing of a spouse or are having to live separately from the person they love most.

One thing I tell ever. single. buddy. is that they are so loved. Of course, I had to send some extra love on Valentine’s Day! This year I handed out Valentine’s Day cards to residents at 2 Assisted Living facilities in my hometown. Sometimes something as simple as a silly unicorn themed card can be a reminder that they still matter and are always remembered.

These photos were taken at the Lavan Martin Assisted Living Facility on the Poarch Creek Reservation (can we talk about how cutie the boxes are!!) and I also visited my friends at The Summit of Atmore. I also sent Valentines cards to seniors across the globe- as far as Canada, the U.K., and beyond!
