Bronson House on the NY State Correctional Facility in Hudson. The organization, Historic Hudson, has a 40 year lease to stabilize (hopefully restore) this treasure. #bronsonhouse #plumbbronsonhouse Thanks to the lovely early "4thDown" settler, Timothy Dunlevy (Rural Residence), who "discovered" this wreck and spearheaded the initial efforts to keep it from falling in on itself. #historichudson by @ripvanmodern

New York Studio School 8W 8th street. Auguste L Noel was the architect who in 1931 was hired by Gertrude Vanderbuilt to convert one of her family properties into what was initially the Whitney Museum, after the Metropolitan Museum rejected their proposed gift of their MODERN ART collection. Oooops! The building retains much of its otiginal details, especially the entrance lobby.
