Brought to you by the thought leaders of Rise Literary, this is radically inspired storytelling from the page to the stage to the screen.

RiseLive is the next phase of what we’re building: a modern matriarchal media company producing, adapting, and showcasing the next era of storytellers—where books are just the beginning.

And it all begins on the RiseLive stage.

Ten speakers. Ten minutes. The next big talk.

From there, we go further: creating platforms for authors, stages for speakers, original literary programming, and TV and film adaptations born from the authors, books, and ideas of Rise Literary.

Ancient storytelling. Modern matriarchy.

Our first talk, with Katie Hendricks, goes live this Thursday.

Welcome to RiseLive. Welcome to the next era of storytelling.

Because there is a better way.
We’re doing it. by @riseliterary

You don’t have a writing problem. You have a writing pattern. The way you avoid the page. The way you circle your story. The way you almost begin.

Maybe you’re a careful Lizard, a curious Crow, a loyal Dog, a tireless Horse, or a driven Lion. Instead of pushing harder, what if you understood the pattern you’re actually in?

This free quiz reveals your current writing archetype — so you can move forward with clarity and finally find your way as an author.

Because when you understand your pattern, you can transform it. Take the quiz. Begin the alchemy.

Pre-order This Walk Will Change You by @laurendollieduke NOW! Just click the link in out bio!

When Lauren Duke set out to walk the Camino de Santiago with her family, she was searching for a connection that always felt just beyond reach. Years of unspoken trauma had shaped the patterns between her mother, sister, and brother—but as the miles unfolded, she began to wonder whether those patterns could change.

Coming to a bookstores on November 10, 2026, This Walk Will Change You is a personal and expansive, often humorous and deeply reflective, new understanding of why we walk—and what becomes possible when we go the distance. by @riseliterary

It’s been a week since we threw a beautiful event at the Hotel Chelsea Bard Room. We’ve been taking this time to both work miles harder and also take a moment to celebrate the wins of the month from this gorgeous event to launching our live speaking series @welcometoriselive.

Thank you so much @hotelchelsea for the beautiful stay and fantastic event coordination.

Thank you to @hannahorens, @tamarafuentes_ and @laurpuckett for sharing the tips and trick to building your byline.

Thank you Zöe Mahler of @nycbookhoe + @bookclubforbookhoes, Mackenzie Newcomb of @badbitchbookclub, and Tamela Gordon (@shewritestolive) author of Hood Wellness for sharing what it takes to build an authentic platform, find your people, and create a community that becomes an audience.

And of course we can’t forget to thank the wonderful lunch time breakout sessions leaders — Rise Literary Publisher Diana Ventimiglia (@diventi), Hillary Povar from @smithhousestrat, and Janea Brachfeld from @simonandschuster that gave every writer a chance to share the book they’re writing—or dreaming about writing. This event would have been nothing without each and every one of you!

And to everyone who attended, we hope you gained as much from this experience as we did and we can’t wait for the next time we get to gather together again! by @riseliterary

Dave Eggers calls it, “An intimate, vivid, and deeply felt novel” with Ann Packer referring to it as, “a lyrical debut novel of uncommon emotional depth, power, and wisdom.” Set against the quiet beauty of the English countryside, Restoration by Carol Davis is a richly textured literary novel about the ways the past lives inside the structures we inherit—and the ones we must rebuild.

Order your copy now and join us this week for events in Oakland and Santa Monica to celebrate this beautiful, intimate work of art. by @riseliterary

Last night felt like we had stepped back in time to 1984.

More than 100 people came together in a gorgeous art gallery in Tribeca to celebrate the launch of Carol Davis’s Restoration—set, not surprisingly, in 1984.

It was an incredible night of art and literature, and a restorative conversation between Carol and author and podcaster Debbie Millman about what it takes to bring a book into the world, and how art allows us to not only explore love and grief through storytelling, but to finally confront our own.

We are so honored to be a part of bringing Carol’s beautiful book into the world, and we can’t wait for more people to find and savor it.

Buy your copy of Restoration today wherever books are sold, or dive into the elegiac audiobook from @blackstonepublishing by @riseliterary
