Variable hurdle spacing challenges hurdlers to adjust their stride patterns, takeoff distances, and rhythm as spacing changes. This develops spatial awareness, coordination, and the ability to adapt rather than becoming dependent on one consistent pattern. The goal is to build more versatile hurdlers who can maintain efficient mechanics and rhythm even when race demands change. 🥇

Coaching has taught me that the impact we make goes far beyond the scoreboard. God has used this journey to shape me just as much as I’ve tried to help shape the athletes I coach.

I’ve learned that success isn’t just about developing faster athletes, but about helping people grow in confidence, character, faith, and purpose. It’s about learning to lead with patience, loving people beyond their performance, finding joy in the process, and trusting God when I can’t see the full picture.

At the end of the day, I may be called to coach the sport, but God is teaching me how to serve the people. And sometimes, the greatest lessons I teach are the ones He is still teaching me. ✝️

Hebrews 12 is a sprint clinic. Strip the weight, run your own lane, finish the rep, eyes on the finish, and rest when He says rest.
Send this to the teammate who’s been running on empty.

“Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Hebrews 12:1 (NIV)

Hurdling is a combination of multiple factors working in unison. When technique, rhythm, coordination, and speed come together, that’s when you create fluidity and efficiency over the hurdles. 🏃🏽‍♂️🚧

Run Like You’re Hips are a Bowl of Cereal ! 🏃🏽‍♂️🥣 Keep your hips controlled and your pelvis stable as you sprint. Excessive tilting or rotation can disrupt your posture and make it harder to apply force efficiently into the ground. Stay tall, maintain control, and let your legs drive you forward!

Your arms are a POWER SOURCE when you sprint. 💨 But if your hands cross the center line of your body, you can create unnecessary rotation, disrupt your arm mechanics, and waste valuable energy that should be driving you forward.
