I stand among the crowd
thinking of a bouquet that once was
where each petal a whisper
each stem a story of you
the florist, the artist,
who painted our lives in colors
only you could see

You were the sun
shining warmth through the leaves
nurturing roots of laughter
the gentle gardener of our dreams.

Now, the garden feels empty
silent without your hands,
the scissors that shaped joy
the soil that felt like home
I reach for petals that fall
each one a memory
a fragrance of laughter
and I breathe you in
but the air is thinner now
and the weather feels cold

I search for you in the blooms
in the way they sway in the breeze
reminders of your touch,
the kindness that have no limits,
the way you always gave, and gave, and gave,
like rain after a drought
a shelter in harsh storms

You taught me to see
to find beauty in the ordinary
to embrace life like a flower
with open petals, ready to greet the dawn.

But now, I learn to cope with shadows
to navigate this garden without your guidance
each step heavy
as if the earth itself mourns

In my heart, you are a wildflower,
growing where I least expect
reminding me that love doesn’t fade
it transforms, it grows, it spreads.
And as I learn to bloom in your absence
I carry you with me
the brightest star in my sky
the kindest whisper in my soul
the forever florist of my heart.

I miss you dad. by @ritakazar
