On some days my house starts looking like this.

Unwashed dishes. Wet clothes left hanging for days. Laundry piling up. Floors getting dirtier. A kitchen that slowly stops functioning. A bed that becomes both my resting place and my prison.

When people talk about depression, they often talk about sadness. What they don’t talk about enough is neglect. Not intentional neglect, but the kind that quietly builds up when even small tasks start feeling heavy.

This photo series is my attempt at documenting that space honestly — not to romanticize it, not to make it look beautiful, but to show how mental health can slowly reflect onto the spaces we live in.

The mess became a timeline. Every untouched object became proof that time was passing while I stayed still.

And somewhere in all of this, my cat stayed beside me through it.

This isn’t a cry for attention or sympathy. It’s simply documentation of a phase that many people experience quietly and hide out of shame.

So if you’ve ever looked around your room and felt overwhelmed by what it has become, you’re probably carrying more than just “laziness.”

late posting has become a ritual for me, never on time.
So anyways, this year reached kumartuli at 3:45 in the morning of mahalaya. Got to see some bizarre frames in the kumar para and most of all I was baffled by the crowd that had gathered around the place that early in the morning and were restricting the people to do their work, littering everywhere. I was feeling uncomfortable and guilty because of their behaviour. So I tried my best to not disrupt anyone's work and be respectful.
Anyways thank you if you came this far.

I also wanted to give a shout out to @yourboyflamec
my favourite in the scene.

It had been too long since I've truly been to the streets, 24th august was the day, our own @ig_calcutta 's 10th anniversary photowalk.
It's been drizzling since the morning, but surprisingly a big crowd gathered at sovabajar raj bari.
I started early wanting to avoid crowds cus yk thora introvert hoon, ah anyways the journey starts, and our meeting point was Chapatala ghat.
I didn't follow the map at all because that's what the fun is in street photography. I came across some extremely narrow lanes, old Wooden doors, collapsed buildings, humans and animals of all kinds.
Reached the ganga ghat, and realised the ghats are flooded because of water rise. Got some more beautiful shots across the street of the ghats.

More to come, no promises though.

On this #WorldPhotographyDay, I find myself reflecting…
It’s been a while since I’ve gone out with my camera, a while since I’ve shared the world the way I see it. But photography has never left me — it still lives in the way I notice light, people, and fleeting moments.

I promise to come back stronger, with new perspectives and frames that speak from the heart. Until then, here’s a throwback to Chhath Puja 2022 — a reminder of how faith, culture, and togetherness can create the most beautiful stories.
