#mayformakers2024 I am a week behind. Better late than never!

I am Ivy, the sole owner and worker of Ritter Ohana Woodworking. I do all of the designing and building.
I started my journey back in 2015 when stationed in Hawaii. I built furniture out of pallet wood while learning how to use tools along the way. In 2018, when we moved back to the island, I moved away from the pallet wood world and built furniture from wood from the big box store. I also started to learn how to make military coin flags and plaques. In 2021, I added a laser to assist in my work, and that took me places I never imagined. In 2023, we moved to Virginia, and I made the decision to no longer build furniture, I loved my work, but I was getting burnt out and just didn't leave and room to use my builtup creativity.

I currently specialize in military gifts, from plaque, ornament, shadow boxes, retirement chest, and more. I have also started making my own designs of money holder gift for holidays and special occasions. These items I sell in my Etsy shop. It has been so rewarding making these changes.
