TAG A FRIEND WITH A WORKSHOP

I do periodic resets in my shop to get everything clean and every tool and part back to its proper home. But have you ever gone on vacation forgetting to do it and then come back thinking the shop is “ready” for you?!

Here’s a huge shoutout to all the amazing small business owners, especially the women-led businesses, who have supported me on this journey.

Learning my new machine has been a real challenge, and there were moments I felt completely overwhelmed. But thanks to the encouragement, advice, and kindness of my fellow makers, I’m making progress little by little.

Your support means the world, and I’m beyond grateful to be part of such an uplifting community. Thank you for keeping me going! 💛

The Spotlight Series Continues!

Tomorrow, November 20 at 10:00 AM EST, I’m sitting down with Ivy Ritter, the talented creator behind @ritterohanawoodworking ! Ivy’s journey from a hobbyist with three basic tools to a thriving business owner is nothing short of inspiring, and I can’t wait for you to hear her story.

Here’s what Ivy has to say about her work:
“I am a military spouse and have 2 kids. I started my woodworking hobby in 2015 with 3 basic tools. I started in the pallet craze while living in Hawaii. I was making all the things from signs to furniture. I am a self taught woodworker. I slowly gained more skills and more tools, and as I grew my hobby then grew to a real business. I was solely making furniture. As the time was changing, so was my passion and I was getting burnt out on the furniture world. I had so much creativity built and I knew it was time for a change. I made a big leap in 2020 and added a laser to my business. Little did I know where that was going to lead me. My new passion is now making custom military gifts ranging from PCS plaques, coin holder flags and even shadow boxes. I have also created a specialized line of personalized gifts for all special occasions through the year like, graduation, Easter and Christmas. If you are needing that one of a kind piece I’m sure I can make those ideas a reality”

From her creative leap into laser engraving to crafting meaningful gifts that honor service members and celebrate milestones, Ivy’s work beautifully combines skill, passion, and purpose. Join us as we discuss her journey, her advice for fellow entrepreneurs, and the heart behind her incredible creations.

Set your alarms and join us LIVE tomorrow! It’s going to be a conversation filled with inspiration and creativity.
