Do you know whistle code?

Use a broken cadence of 2- 3 short blows to alert those who are vulnerable of immigration enforcement's presence. Blow continuously when someone is being detained, as to alert those who would serve as rapid response and thus document.

Whistles also allow responders to track the general vicinity of other response efforts that they may follow.

Not only have whistles been effective in various cities, but they have become a symbol of hope.

The people ALWAYS have the power (just by sheer numbers). Never forget. This is OUR country! It's only been 4 months since the youth of Nepal overthrew their government in a single day and appointed a new leader the next.

Be pissed off! DO NOT SLEEP! Do not become complacent. ICE is terrorizing one American city after another, each time becoming more aggressive and tactical.

As so many of us have known from the start- this isn't about criminals. It's about instilling fear and displays of power. It's about silencing dissent and enforcing the will of the most disgusting man on the planet, the current president of the United States 🐽, and his regime. It's about power, corruption, and white supremacy.

Remember, that so long as you are not committing a crime or obstructing an officer and are a United States citizen, ICE has no jurisdiction over you. If a border patrol officer is more than 100 miles from the border, they have no jurisdiction over you. If you are a United States citizen and are not driving a vehicle, you have the right to refuse to provide identification. You have the right to remain silent until a lawyer is present. You do not have to answer questions. You have the right to walk away if you are not being detained. Ask ,"Am I being detained?" If not calmly, walk away. If "Yes," ask why. Never sign ANYTHING if detained.

ICE can not enter private areas or your home without a judicial warrant (even if an immigrant seeks safety there, though this could have legal ramifications later).

Know the difference between a judicial warrant (signed by a judge) and an "administrative" or ICE warrant (I-200). The judicial warrant MUST have a judges signature. Your name and address must appear correct, and the date of issuance must be within two weeks' time. Ask for the warrant to be put up to a window or slid under the door. If it does not meet all requirements, you have the right to state, "I do not consent to entry."

Meriden, CT, last night.

One week after, ICE entered the Meriden courthouse, arresting a man without the proper warrant, and a judicial marshal pushed an elderly bystander to the ground unconscious, we rallied before the courthouse. On this same day, the provision that prevents ICE from entering our courthouses went into effect. That same bill allows us to sue state and federal law enforcement for constitutional rights violations.
