A fall time brookie has to be one of the prettiest fish that God has created. Just look at those spots and colors😍

Was targeting these puppies with @reel_ties_fishing who helped me out with some product testing, and the fly he came up with SLAYED🎣 so stay tuned because they will be hitting the shop next summer.

Fishing the small creeks and streams where these beautiful fish thrive has been a blast with my @hoffmanscustomrods 3wt glass rod. This thing bow and arrow casts like a dream, and the best part is I don’t send 6 inch brookies into the atmosphere 💫 with every trout set.

Also the @maxxonflyfishing slim compliments this set up SOOOO good😍

I seriously don’t understand why this is so controversial…

I had put off trying euro nymphing because I have seen so much negative content about it. However, after controlling at the fly fishing world championships, I decided to give euro nymphing a shot and I loved it!

But what’s your take?

‼️My top selling fly will be hitting the shop again soon‼️

Because you guys (and the fish) loved this fly so much last year, I will be doing pre-orders on this pattern.

I kept selling out of these as soon as I would get more in stock, so this helps me gauge how many materials to order, and more importantly, it gives you guys a sweet deal!

I will be listing these at $3.25 when I officially add them to the site, but I am offering 10-packs for $25.00 (that’s just $2.50 a fly!) for those of you who are patient enough to wait.

Sale ends Sunday September 27th at midnight so act fast!

You can expect to receive these flies by mid to late October by the LATEST, which would be prime time to be fishing these on the water anyways.

Before the lakes freeze over is one of the best times to fish Stillwater. The trout will be cruising the shallows eating as much as they can before the lake freezes over.

Nothing beats the feeling of a fully loaded fly box 📦

I have a new found love for small creek fishing. When we pulled up to this small creek, we instantly realized that it would be putting our skills to the test. Because the coverage around the stream was so thick, 99.9% of my casts this day were bow and arrow casts. It wasn’t something I was comfortable with going in, but thanks to my 6ft 7in 3wt glass rod from @hoffmanscustomrods I was able to make these otherwise challenging casts with east. Not to mention that fishing these brookies on a 3wt glass rod was an absolute blast!

If there is a type of water you don’t feel comfortable fishing, just SEND IT! You may end up having an experience you will never forget.

If you had to choose just one fly to throw the rest of your life, what are you picking?

For me… it would be very hard to not choose a jig streamer.

The versatility of these things is just UNMATCHED. Strip, drift, swing, or jig these flies any time of year and you will catch fish.

When I’m fishing new or unfamiliar water, I often throw on a jig streamer, and more times than not, it produces.

- 2mm black foam (highly recommend a beetle foam cutter if you’re tying a lot of these)
- small black wire
- black peacock ice dubbing
