Rivier women’s lacrosse took an important step forward in 2026, finishing with eight victories while returning to the GNAC Tournament for the first time since 2018.

The Raiders were one of the top defensive teams in the country, ranking third nationally and first in the GNAC with 15.39 caused turnovers per game while also ranking 28th nationally in scoring defense at 7.67 goals allowed per game.

Junior Madelyn Poulton earned GNAC First Team honors after recording 31 caused turnovers, while first-year Hayleigh Young was named to the GNAC Second Team after setting a program single-season record with 79 draw controls. Senior Bailey Carroll was also recognized on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

In goal, first-year netminder Arrianna Imbriano ranked 22nd nationally with a 7.74 goals-against average, helping anchor a Raider defense that powered several key results, including an 18-0 shutout of Albertus Magnus and a 9-7 win at Simmons that secured Rivier’s postseason berth. by @rivierwlax
