Big dreams, hands-on experience, and a future in veterinary medicine! 🐾

As a Biology Pre-Vet student at Rivier, Keegan, is already taking steps toward a career caring for animals. This summer she got hands-on experience working at a vet clinic, most notably learning how to prep for surgery.

Between Bio Club, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Great Northeast Athletic Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (GNAC SAAC), and competing on the women’s ice hockey and lacrosse teams, Keegan is making the most of every opportunity to grow both inside and outside the classroom.

We’re excited to announce our first panelist for the 2026 Alumni Panel, Rachel Symmes ‘25!

Symmes graduated with a Bachelor’s in Nursing while also competing with @rivierwih and @rivierwlax as a dual sport student-athlete. She amassed 1,000 career saves on the ice and served as @riv_saac Vice President and President over her four years. Symmes now works as an Emergency Room Nurse.

The Rivier Athletics Alumni Panel is this Friday, Sept. 25 at 6 PM in the Muldoon Center.

Rivier women’s lacrosse took an important step forward in 2026, finishing with eight victories while returning to the GNAC Tournament for the first time since 2018.

The Raiders were one of the top defensive teams in the country, ranking third nationally and first in the GNAC with 15.39 caused turnovers per game while also ranking 28th nationally in scoring defense at 7.67 goals allowed per game.

Junior Madelyn Poulton earned GNAC First Team honors after recording 31 caused turnovers, while first-year Hayleigh Young was named to the GNAC Second Team after setting a program single-season record with 79 draw controls. Senior Bailey Carroll was also recognized on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

In goal, first-year netminder Arrianna Imbriano ranked 22nd nationally with a 7.74 goals-against average, helping anchor a Raider defense that powered several key results, including an 18-0 shutout of Albertus Magnus and a 9-7 win at Simmons that secured Rivier’s postseason berth.

Four years later and we did it 🤍 Graduating from Rivier University alongside my best friends is something I’ll forever be grateful for. God truly knew what He was doing when He brought these girls into my life, and I couldn’t imagine this journey without them by my side.
I’m also beyond thankful for my family — your endless love, encouragement, and support mean more to me than words can ever express. This chapter ending is definitely bittersweet, but I’m so excited for what’s ahead as I continue my journey to become a Physical Therapist. Here’s to new beginnings, lifelong friendships, and chasing the dreams we’ve worked so hard for 🎓✨
