Hip-hop improv fueled by audience suggestions, featuring hilarious scenes, jaw-dropping freestyle raps, wild characters, & nonstop laughs!

FLOWPOCKET is an hour-long hip-hop improv show starring RJ Williams and Derek Demko. The duo takes audience suggestions and weaves them into hilarious scenes and jaw-dropping freestyle raps. The veteran improvisers have performed hundreds of shows together, and are current members of groups like Epic Rap Battles of History, Shamilton, Baby Wants Candy, and North Coast. Join the duo as they spit nonstop punchlines, play side-splitting characters, and create an hour of the dumbest hip-hop improv you’ve ever seen. taken in M.i.'s Westside Comedy Theater by @rjaydub.ii

This Level 2 class will focus on more complicated flow patterns, musical genres, short form hip-hop games, and a bit of narrative storytelling. In addition, students will continue to develop their long form hip-hop improv scene work.

In this class, students will learn the basics of creating a hip hop improv scene. We will dive into various styles of flow and find one that fits each student. There will be exercises to introduce students to rhyming structure, character exploration through rapping, and developing hooks. Students will implement these through long form improv scene work and will be able to perform a montage of scenes including rap.

PLEASE NOTE: No class on Sep. 26th
