I thoroughly enjoyed our time together for the DC Alcornites 50th Anniversary Celebration: A Golden Voyage. As a Committee Lead with my partner in crime, Ronda, and our fearless President, Thoressa, we pulled off a first of its kind event for the Association.

Thank you to everyone that contributed to our successful event, especially our 50th Anniversary committee (the true rockstars!), who for the past year worked through every detail imaginable to ensure everyone was comfortable and most importantly, enjoyed their time.

Thank you to every guest that traveled long distances to enjoy their festivities - we hope to see you again next summer - stay tuned. ;-)

🏆 2026 SOD Club Alumni Section Challenge | Week 4 Update 🏆

The competition is heating up!

After four weeks of fundraising, the Tuba/Sousaphone Section rises to the top spot with $1,260 raised, but the Lady Purple Flashers are right on their heels at $1,219. The Golden Girls remain firmly in the hunt with $1,150 raised.

This year I have the honor of helping lead something very special for the Alcorn family.

The Washington, D.C. Metro Area Alumni Chapter is celebrating 50 years of service, scholarship, and Alcorn pride, and we are marking the milestone with a celebration called A Golden Voyage.

Our goal is to raise funds that support scholarships, alumni engagement, and future students of Alcorn State University.

I have personally committed to raising $1,871 to support this effort, and I would truly appreciate your support for Team Ralph.
