Where do I even begin?

There is just so much to share so maybe I start here. With some of the special moments tha keep replaying in my head as I still ride the high that was Superfair SF 2026.

1. Opening night, as always, is pure magic. This night did not fail to be just that.
2. My birthday twin, showing up for me on set up day. Fun fact: we’ve known each other since first grade. @sabrennan1212
3. Superfair, curator, artist and multitasker - @art_by_sharone and her gorgeous self, doing her thing
4. The buzz of people walking around the fair, surrounding me, the conversations and connections, the feeling of letting go of pieces that I love.
5. The night I wore my terno by @michdulce and got to share the story of what it was. That bow and little train though. 🖤
6. My ride or die. @trish_whisenhunt - we needed this trip more than we knew. Having her by my side for the whole fair was special and I wouldn’t haave had it any other way.
7. My mumager, chief of staff, hype woman. @jujuraps. She showed up for me in every way.
8. The support poured in from everywhere - friends, family, new collectors, repeat collectors, fellow artists. All of it so genuine. And the thing I’ll carry the most? This time around, we really got to know each other more. More than last year, more than I expected.

Every year I leave a little more of myself through my art in San Francisco. What an absolute privilege that is. by @rlerouxart

Hey - it’s me Rae. 👋🏼

So nice to see some new faces on here with me so I thought I’d say hi and re-introduce myself in 2025!

• I’m a multidisciplinary artist based in Manila, painting women in motion, using them as my narrative. Always inspired by capturing emotion in a stolen second of movement.

• Pencil and oil are my favourite mediums to use.

• Abstracts play a huge part in my art practice too. It is where I started.

• Married for 18 years, mama to two (16 + 12), fur mama to one ( Did you see his cuteness on the second photo?!)

• I’m a Sagittarius, through and through. Extremely sensitive - cry at commercials kinda girl - but stubborn and moody. I am pretty easygoing but will turn into Mama Bear for my people if you do them wrong.

• Gimme a chance to be fancy, wear high heels + red lipstick any day, but my favourite will always be cut off jeans, a T-shirt and a messy top knot.

• Sushi. Avocado + fried eggs. Gramma’s adobo. Smoked salmon + cream cheese. Those are some of my favourites!

• I’m shy. Until I’m not and then I won’t stop talking. 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you’ve read through, thank you for getting to know the artist behind the work- I appreciate you. Do say hello below 🤍

My prints shop is open! 🥳

For years, watching a painting leave for its forever home has been a very bittersweet goodbye. Prints are my way of softening it. And now, these pieces get to live in more spaces than one, which means I also get to keep a piece of them with me too.

There are about twenty six prints in total, including some of my older editions. All handmade with love from beginning to end.

Yeah I know. I said August. But I may have also said May. 🫠

These prints have been “launching soon” for most of the year. Two of you won yours in the giveaway. A few of you collected them at Superfair in March. Everyone else has been waiting while the website rebuild and my well-documented procrastination kept pushing them down the list.

But the wait ends this Thursday, the 15th of October.

Comment PRINT and I’ll send you the link the moment they go live on Thursday. 🥳 by @rlerouxart

Okay. I couldn’t keep these away from you any longer.

Three new pieces made for Flux Exhibition in London. I had some time to spend with them first, just me and them. And now they’re ready to be shown to the world properly.

They may also be the last figurative work I make for 2026. But if you’re in Manila, you will have a chance to see them in person before the year ends. More on that very soon 👀

Hard to believe two weeks have passed since opening night for @fluxexhibition.

I never know how to describe what it’s like to stand in front of my work while someone asks about it and actually listens to my answer. It happened over and over again in those four days. People wanted to know why the gold, how the figures begin, stood amazed when I explained my process, or how I got my pieces from Manila to London intact. And every time I told that story, I felt how far the work had traveled, and how far I’d traveled with it too.

I stood in front of family, friends and strangers as they saw what I’d been building an ocean away. Most importantly, I stood humbled by the chance to be seen in a place I called home for years.

I was proud that week. And to be honest, I still am. I hope I made you proud too. ✨

Thank you Lisa @fluxexhibition for giving me this opportunity. taken in The Bomb Factory Art Foundation by @rlerouxart

For those I met for the first time, I am grateful for the space held as I talked you through my art and process.

My paintings have made it over! Here’s a look back at delivery day, from unwrapping paintings to repacking and unwrapping again.

I’m showing in London this week, which means so much to me. Anyone who knows me knows this city is my second home, so being selected for this show makes my heart happy. I’ve brought earlier pieces from the Echoes & Conversations Collection, plus four new gold pieces that were made especially for Flux Exhibition.

Preview and opening night is tomorrow, 3rd of September at 6-9pm. If you’re around, message me as opening night is ticketed. The rest of the run is free, so if you’re in London, come walk in and say hello!

Now live on The Flux Review: our interview with British-Filipino contemporary artist Rachel Le Roux.

Rachel’s expressive figurative paintings explore the female form, identity and the shifting experience of becoming. Drawing inspiration from dance, fashion, photography and her experience of growing up between cultures, her work moves between vulnerability and strength, revealing the many versions of ourselves that emerge through change.

In this thoughtful Q&A, Rachel discusses her creative process, the personal rituals that shape her studio practice, the influence of her British-Filipino heritage and the recurring figure of “she” who sits at the centre of her work.

“All of the work asks the same question: What does it mean to be caught in the middle of becoming?”

We are also delighted that Rachel will be exhibiting with FLUX Exhibition this September in London.

Read the full interview now through the link in our bio.

Well…… I vanished for five weeks and now I’m wandering in as if nothing happened.

Five weeks of the off-the-grid life that’s been a mix of chaos and quiet, plus working on website that’s taken three times longer than it should have. Somewhere in all of it, posting here kept sliding down the list.

Besides having far too much fun with AI images, I do actually have things to share.

The first, “What The Body Remembers ” will be showing at @fluxexhibition in London opening on the 3rd of September. If you’re in town, come and see her in person but mostly, come and say hello! I’ll be there too.

The other two slides are my new prints from the Echoes & Conversations collection, officially launching on the 1st of August.

But honestly, I just wanted to pop on your feeds again while I’m out of the studio. More on both as it gets closer to the dates. by @rlerouxart

So I will.

Sometimes you don’t realise how easy it is to fall out of rhythm. Until you do. One minute you’re in it and everything feels clear…. Then you hit that bloody brick wall and you think, what the hell just happened?!

I expected to be out of the studio. I expected to be tired and quiet. What I didn’t expect was the full force of the brain fog, the drop in energy and the hit to my immune system.

I feels like going 200mph and suddenly having to brake and slow all the way down.

I’m in that part right now. And for someone who never stops, I’m finding it kinda hard. by @rlerouxart
