What a wonderful and inspiring experience it was to come together with so many incredibly talented artists from across the UK, Europe and beyond for the FLUX Exhibition. As artists, we spend so much of our time creating alone, which makes the opportunity to gather, connect, share our work, and inspire one another even more meaningful. I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of such a beautiful international celebration of art and creativity.

A heartfelt thank you to FLUX Exhibition founder Lisa Gray for her amazing vision, passion, and tremendous hard work in bringing such a beautiful exhibition to life. It was truly an honor to be part of something so special.

And my apologies to any of my fellow exhibiting artists whose beautiful work I wasn’t able to capture and share here. The 4 days flew by and the work was all so beautiful and unique. Here’s to endless fun mingling with guests, meeting fellow artists, making new friends and enjoying all the excitement of the exhibition! Hope to see you all next year!

Now live on The Flux Review: our interview with British-Filipino contemporary artist Rachel Le Roux.

Rachel’s expressive figurative paintings explore the female form, identity and the shifting experience of becoming. Drawing inspiration from dance, fashion, photography and her experience of growing up between cultures, her work moves between vulnerability and strength, revealing the many versions of ourselves that emerge through change.

In this thoughtful Q&A, Rachel discusses her creative process, the personal rituals that shape her studio practice, the influence of her British-Filipino heritage and the recurring figure of “she” who sits at the centre of her work.

“All of the work asks the same question: What does it mean to be caught in the middle of becoming?”

We are also delighted that Rachel will be exhibiting with FLUX Exhibition this September in London.

We are exceptionally excited to announce that Rachel Le Roux will be exhibiting with FLUX Exhibition this September in Marylebone, London.

For British-Filipina artist and interior architect Rachel Le Roux, painting is a process of renewal. Based in Manila, she trained at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London before spending over a decade working in architecture and design. The same sensitivity to space, texture and atmosphere that shapes her interiors carries through into her paintings, creating a strong dialogue between the two disciplines.

Her practice moves between figuration and abstraction. Figurative works explore the body through movement, fabric and gesture, while her abstract paintings emerge from instinctive processes using leftover paint to build compositions centred on energy, motion and transformation. Across both strands of her work, Le Roux reflects on cycles of concealment, revelation and renewal.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at The Holy Art Fair London, Superfair Art Fair SF, South Arts Festival Manila, Leon Gallery and Altro Mondo Creative Arts, with works held in private collections worldwide.
