A huge thank you to all the trainers, operators and leisure centres who have supported #RestartAHeart this year! ❤️

Restart a Heart is a national campaign that encourages people of all ages to learn CPR and gain confidence in responding to a cardiac arrest emergency.

📸 Photos featured are from Everyone Active, who hosted an information stand and gave CPR demonstrations to over 300 people at London Victoria Station, and Faringdon Leisure Centre, who supported the campaign throughout the week and rounded it off with a series of CPR challenges.

It's fantastic to see so many organisations helping to equip more people with the confidence and knowledge to act in an emergency.

The RLSS UK team had a fantastic time visiting St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Broadway, for #RestartAHeart.

Pupils learned the basics of CPR through hands-on demonstrations and discovered how quick action can help save a life in an emergency.

A huge thank you to the staff and pupils for their enthusiasm and participation. It's inspiring to see so many young people keen to learn skills that can help save lives. ❤️

⭐ Everyday Hero Spotlight

When Ian Robertson became unresponsive in Mallaig Pool, Inverness-shire, lifeguards Harry Tulloch and Cassie Shirley, along with local healthcare professionals and bystanders, worked tirelessly for 40 minutes to keep him alive until emergency services arrived on scene.

Their brave actions saved a life, and Ian has since made a successful recovery. Their phenomenal rescue is featured in the latest edition of Lifesavers Magazine.

🌊 Last weekend, Redditch Lifesavers teamed up with members of the Whitmore Bay club and took 13 Bronze Star and Bronze Medallion candidates to the beach to complete the beach element of their awards.

The candidates headed to the coast, enjoying a packed programme of activities including a beach theory session, a hazard identification walk, rescue board tuition, and visits to the National Coastwatch Station and Barry Dock RNLI Station.

The weekend also included some fun, competitive races with Vale SLSC on the Sunday afternoon.

We're delighted to share that every candidate successfully completed their assessment and passed with flying colours! 🎉
