We’re building an exciting amateur combat sports event featuring MMA and Muay Thai bouts inside the cage at Lois Kemp Arena on Saturday, August 1.

We are currently looking for Athletes ready to represent their team, test their skills, and gain valuable competition experience on a professional-style stage.

We’re also looking for Sponsors who want to support local athletes, connect with the community, and get their business in front of a passionate Ottawa/Orleans audience.

This event is being built to showcase discipline, courage, sportsmanship, and the next generation of warriors.

This year I went undefeated.
I met every goal I set for the year in the first 6 months,
everything seemed to be going as planned.

And just when I started feeling like nothing could touch me, life threw me a few curveballs. Hard enough to knock me off course, literally.
Im usually one to believe that everything that happens carries some good within it,
but this time, I questioned that rule.

Was I doing something wrong?
Was there something missing?
Yes.

I always told myself that progress was measured by how hard I pressed forward.
By how little room I left for pause,
that discipline required urgency.
I was wrong.
Restraint is not the absence of ambition, Its refinement.
“Take a break Nicky”,
“Go home coach”,
i never listened, and i was never going to..,
So I learned the hard way.

This year taught me patience.
Patience with myself, learning that momentum doesn’t always require acceleration, that not every moment demands full throttle.
Patience with others, accepting that some things unfold only in their own time,
to let things form instead of forcing them to arrive.

As I learn to embrace this stillness, there are days when nothing changes on the surface, yet I can feel something aligning beneath it.

This ache has given me more than comfort ever could.

So like my brother used to tell me, I’ll keep gathering my wood in the dark.
Quietly.
And when the moment comes..,
🔥.

2025 was all around my best year so far.
needless to say 2026 will be even better.

The train is taking off, don’t miss it ;)
