Hi, we are Maddy and Sam, creators of Roadschool Atlas, parents to two awesome kids, full-time travelers and middle school sweethearts.

Maddy has a background in education and Sam is an engineer and together we are creating a new learning platform while we travel full time in our travel trailer and homeschool our sons.

Last year as we were downsizing and preparing to live in our RV and travel full time homeschooling our kids when we had the initial idea for Roadschool Atlas: a community-created map of all the best places to learn and explore as a family.

Roadschool Atlas is what we wish we had as we started our journey and is now a collection of all the places we have visited, along with the incredible places added by our friends and followers.

Roadschool Atlas has grown and changed a lot since our first idea of it a year ago: beyond the map we are creating journals, adaptive learning games, goals-based homeschooling portfolios, book lists, a blog, content creation partnerships and more.

Thank you for following along on our adventures in full time RV life, roadschooling and creating Roadschool Atlas.

Roadschool Atlas started as an idea for a curated map for families and has turned into a creative and customizable homeschool curriculum!

We have journaling prompts, math games, typing games, and a growing “bookshelf” and are currently creating new curriculum, games and features.

The best way to see Yosemite Valley?

🚲 Riding bikes!

Yosemite Valley has miles of paved bike trails that completely change the way you experience the park. Instead of circling parking lots, stressing about finding a spot at every overlook, and watching the scenery blur past your car window — you park once and explore everything.

Pedal at your own pace past towering granite walls, meadows that seem too beautiful to be real, and views of Half Dome that’ll stop you in your tracks.

We spent yesterday biking all over the valley and unanimously agreed — it’s the best way to experience Yosemite. We brought our own mountain bikes, but rentals are available right in the valley if you didn’t. The flat, paved trails are approachable for just about everyone, so you can skip the parking stress and focus on what matters: the views.

Inside is often both overstimulating and under stimulating at the same time. Inside there are messes and to do lists. When parenting feels hard, when life feels hard, go outside. by @roadschoolatlas
