Shout out TUESDAY! 📣
Stole this awesome idea from @on_the_go_with_joanie_and_joe ⭐️
I love how they are constantly shouting out other RV Life Content Creators and lifting others up!

So check out these 4 pages and give them a follow. I promise you won’t regret it. 🙌

@therunawaypeach : these guys are a blast. 💥 I love their content. You never know what they are going to post next. 😂 Follow Jamie and Mike as they travel the country with their dog, Hamp!

@roadschoolatlas : We met these guys for the first time in Oceanside, CA and have been friends ever since. Maddy and Sam travel full time in their rv with their two amazing kiddos. They are also the creators of Roadschool Atlas- a community-created map of all the best places to learn and explore as a family. Give them a follow and if you’re lucky, you’ll catch them on the road during your adventures!! If you’re EXTRA lucky, you may even get the best homemade bagel you’ve ever tasted. 😮‍💨😂

@on_the_go_with_joanie_and_joe : Can’t rave enough about these guys. 💕 We started following each other on socials and Joanie and I got to talking about schedules and what not, only to discover that we would both be staying at TT La Conner at the same time. That time came and what do you know? Joanie and Joe pull into the spot RIGHT next to us. What a crazy coincidence.

Joanie and Joe packed it up and started traveling after they retired. They are full of life and love and you’re missing out if you’re not following them! 🤍

@adventuresofbuttholekitty : yes. They are just as awesome as their handle would have you believe. 💯 We met Shawna and Shawn while we were neighbors at TT South Jetty in Florence, OR. Their dog Briggs and our dog Atlas get along so well and play together any chance they get.

These guys started their own print shop in the back of their RV. They do everything and their journey is so fun to follow! P.S. reach out to them for any of your custom stickers/banner needs. 🤘

RV life on the road is all about community- and what an amazing community it is. 🤍

A tour of our tiny home on wheels:

Our family of four (mom, dad, 8 yr old and 6 yr old) just moved into our 33 foot travel trailer to travel full time around the country.

Our tiny home consists of a master bedroom with queen bed, living room and dinette in the slide out, kitchen, bathroom with shower and small tub, and a bunk room with four bunks!

A few of our favorite things about our tiny home so far:

We love this layout because parents and kids each have separate bedrooms with doors so their bedtime is not our bedtime.

Lots of storage in the bedroom cabinets, under the queen bed and extra bunk, under the dinette and in the living room bookshelves.

We turned one of the extra bunks in the kids room into a LEGO table with space to store LEGO, other toys, boots and backpacks underneath.

The kitchen is highly functional, especially using the extra foldout counter space.

The dinette serves as our dining room table, homeschool table, and office desk.

And of course our cozy, colorful, book-filled living room is my favorite corner of our home.

What else do you want to see in our tiny traveling home?

Introducing our Newest GEM Collective Partner..... @family.in.flow @roadschoolatlas 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Maddy is a parent educator and homeschool mentor and will be supporting us in both these areas!

❔What outcome do you hope to help GEM achieve?
✨ I want to help the GEM community grow and support as many mothers as possible. I wish I had had this kind of community support and resources when I first became a mother and want to help GEM become the top organization that empowers and nurtures mothers in the depths of parenthood.

❔Why did you say yes to GEM?
✨ I want to be part of a community of partners who all have the same goal: supporting and empowering mothers. I want to learn from other providers and business owners and collaborate with a group of like-minded women.

❔What makes you feel wildly alive?
✨ Picking wild berries while hiking in a Pacific Northwest rainforest and swimming in an alpine lake.

❔Whats a fun fact about you?
✨ I have spent the last two years living with my family of four in a 280 sqft travel trailer!

❔ What's one thing you wish more moms knew?
✨ I wish more moms knew how to use Positive Discipline tools to connect more with their children and create more effective households. Connecting with our children should be our first priority, teaching and discipline come after connection.
I wish more mothers knew that they are capable of homeschooling their own children and how incredibly fun and rewarding the experience can be.

Inside is often both overstimulating and under stimulating at the same time. Inside there are messes and to do lists. When parenting feels hard, when life feels hard, go outside.

Kids need freedom within clear boundaries.

They need clear limits and room to grow.

Teach the boundary—then let them run.

Mondays are extra beautiful this year, because us 5 homeschool mamas and friends have teamed up for Topknots and Tea - every Monday we will come at you with 7 affirmations that speak to us. All in our own voices, with our different careers, our different kiddos, and our different experiences, but all things that we think you deserve to hear. Feel free to share and save the ones that speak to you. We can’t wait to give you 365 bite-sized pieces of soul-enriching gratitude. Let’s do this!!

Which slide filled you up this Monday?

Blessed Samhain and holy great pumpkin patch, Charlie Brown. Who is this generous ceramic artist! We think the initials are AHG! Which if that’s right they are Absolutely Hugely Generous! Which is also one of the aspects of Halloween. Sharing candy and spirit! Thanks also to @ltownend for the beautiful flowers that await an altar come tomorrow.

The nights are colder but the art is no less bolder. We snuck away for a wedding and look at all the changes that appeared. We are flowing with flowers and that seems perfect for the upcoming Dia de Los Muertos. The deco-lady with cat is a personal favorite. Definitely one of our ancestors. Perhaps Great Aunt Zelda. The exquisite pencil seascape calls to be snatched up. I wish we could identify the artist. If you are the artist, let us know. Drop a note in the gallery or here. Thanks to the @roadschoolatlas for dropping off one of their stickers (hopefully in exchange for one of ours—if not let us know and we’ll send you one!). Keep creating and keep sharing.

Oh September ❤️

20 slides is not enough for what we packed into September (and in fact these photos only go to the 26th and even more fun happened after that won’t fit here). Such a busy and amazing month, and hopefully what were many many core memories for our boys 🥰

1: Finished our Labor Day Oregon Coast trip. Such a good time visiting the Noertkers on the road it needed to be mentioned in both August and September round ups ❤️
2: It’s not fall in Seattle until you see the salmon come home 😍 snuck in a Ballard Locks visit in the week we were home between trips
3-16: Celebrated my brother’s wedding in SLC (congrats again Connor and Emi) and then embarked on an epic road trip home.
3: Lava Hot Springs, ID (hot springs # 2, 1 was in E Oregon on the way in)
4: had to take a picture with the sign ❤️
5: Granite Hot Springs + Falls WY - amazing camp spot and very cool rustic Forest Service run springs (# 3
7-8: I promise biking through Grand Teton National Park is the best way 🤩, Jr Rangering everywhere we go
9-13: “I’ve wanted to see Old Faithful erupt for SO long” 🥹 kids had an absolute blast in Yellowstone - bears, badgers, bison, moose, deer, pronghorn, and bugling rutting elk at sunset. Our geology nerd 8 year old was in heaven especially.
14: Yellowstone Hot Springs, MT (# 4), super nice pool resort and inexpensive camping just outside Mammoth
15-16: Lolo Pass - always take the long way home 🥰great camping and gorgeous drive, hiked to Weir Creek Hot Springs (# 5) was 10/10 core memory (sorry about your elbow, babe, but you’ve got fantastic Dad reflexes fyi hot springs are slippery). Fished along the Lochsa in a magical spot where hundreds of butterflies swarmed the sandy shore 🤩
17: Came home to a garden and orchard just bursting with produce. Many hands (even tiny ones) lighten the work.
18: Immediately snuck away our second day back for a day date to Scenic Hot Springs (# 6 in one week across 5 states we a little crazy yes). Their pool improvements 😍
19: But for all our travels, sometimes home is the most magic of all ❤️
20: more salmon, always 😂 Issaquah Fish Hatchery is a fall must for us, and our first field trip of our school year

✨June Glimmers✨

June went by so fast! Two weeks into July and I’m just putting this together 😂

Gosh there is truly nothing better than a PNW summer 🥹

1-2: Best friends reunited ❤️ Got to spend lots of time with the Noertkers back home for the month. Yard hangs, lake and river days, bike rides, sleepovers.

3: Early June garden gifts. We’re officially the crazy berry people 😂

4-9: Birthday weekend camping on the Olympic Penisula. Tidepooling at Salt Creek, waterfall hikes and hot springs soaks up the Sol Duc Valley. B got his last WA National Park Junior Ranger badge.

10-11: River play days all summer long please! Maybe with less mud 😆

12: Always tidepooling, even when we wake up late and show up at the beach in pajamas

13: B has gotten really into fishing. He caught 15 this particular evening!

14: So many farmers markets! Took the boys six times this month.

15-17: So much time with my friends 🥹❤️ Girls nights, grown up sleepovers, birthday dinners out. My village 🫶

Want your children to grow up with access to our public lands? It’s time to protect that future in the outdoors.

‼️This weekend’s amendment to the big beautiful bill puts 250 million acres of public lands at risk of sell off, and despite what Senator Mike Lee would say, many of those are popular, well loved places. Some are adjacent to National Parks, some are within a short drive of a major city center - areas like Cathedral Rock, Stevens Pass, San Luis Mts, and more.

Many of them my young children have seen with their own eyes, carried there by us or on their own little legs. ALL are worth protecting in their own right, and NONE of them should be sold off to private interests.

What you can do:
📞Call/email your reps - especially if you live in UT, ID, CO, WY
✉️Share the news far and wide
🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒Teach your kids to have a voice and advocate for our public lands. Even little hands can draw pictures and write letters to your senators!
🌲Follow conservation orgs, subscribe to their newsletters, and participate in their action items - my fav are @wa_wild @wanatlparkfund @trustforpublicland @resistancerangers @npcapics @conservationlands - all have form letters that take seconds to send to your reps

Thanks for the inspo on how these places are not just “isolated nothing” @hello_mallory - she’s got great resources going too!
