Much like Odysseus the last 8 days have been a long and tiring experience. I’ve met friends for life, smoked about 300 cigarettes and drank more beers than I can remember. Filming in a place that the locals refer to as “Hell” or L’inferno, then a church called Purgatory, all in a place that should be called paradise. Complications along the way turned into 5:30 am edit sessions. Running from a sound studio, car hopping with strangers to giving the film in 10 mins before the screening. Hallucinations mixed with conversations I’ll never forget. The undeniable talent of @trollolo who brought this story to life. The devotion of @ajperrin to stand by me every waking moment. @_ivantheterrible_ who was not only there to hold our hands but also our hearts as we floated at 3am in the waves of Castellammare Del Golfo. The incredibly talented cast we had along for the ride, @silvia.labita, @fabio_vario, @mistertommy20 and @francesco_maggadino.

Although the poetic substance and comedy
might not have translated exactly as I wanted. The laughs and kindness of the people of Sicily did. To you I say thank you. We will meet again. And to those who are thinking about taking that next step, do it, but be prepared to bleed. Keep your head up high when they don’t go the way you want to because at the end of the day, creating something from nothing is always better than never trying at all.
Much love,
Rob

Proof of concept for @weaponstokilladeer . Thank you to everyone that made this happen. We shot all of this on 1 day with money out of my own pocket and very inspiring people. This is NOT the finished thing but it is a start. Our go-fund-me will hopefully eventually allow us to shoot the whole thing. Much love to the crew and much love to everyone else that donated and helped us out. Ps: if you have a 50k lying around why not chuck it our way and make an incredible short film. Peace. Rob.
