Double podium day @pelotonstudios in London. This was a great way to finish our UK and to get back into criterium training. @zachgregg3 has given me workouts like this one before. It felt great to be back on the bike and turning pedals with aggression. I don’t get this one. The second class was a 30 minute ride basically averaging sweet spot. I cannot imagine someone could easily double up my score without being paid to ride his bike. I think some people need to check their calibration. @yoiamsamyo really knows how to put together a great workout. The first class was a solid criterium session— short high intensity work with little rest. I felt like I was back at @tourofamericasdairyland @jakroo_official we are gonna need to make a black light @criteriumnation kit. by @rob_e_kelly

I’ve been waiting for this Cannondale SuperSlice for over 2 years. Today I finally got to touch it and I felt an instant spark. I’m looking forward to returning to time trials come August. by @rob_e_kelly

This is a happy post. Today is Fausto & Patton’s 16th birthday. We’ve have had the privilege to spend our lives together and they have brought so much joy and happiness, even if they have taken up way more of the bed than you could possibly expect. I have loved watching them eat, sharing my ham and bacon with them, joining them for naps, cuddles, and giving them kisses and head butts. We are so fortunate that they have been healthy and continue to bounce around the house like little kittens. If you ever wonder why I like staying home, it’s because of these furballs. They make me so amazingly happy. by @rob_e_kelly

I love this sport because I love the people in it. Near the top of any list of my favorite people in cycling is @erhill88 , one of the few people in this world that I can honestly say I trust implicitly. I wish I could ride with him way more regularly than once every two years but I’m so proud of what he’s built with @projectechelonracing by @rob_e_kelly

Tough day at the bike racing office in Wilmington. Somehow the pistons in my front brakes locked on me between cleaning the bike last night and today’s race. The end result was the brakes would only advance and never retract so i was pushing against a lot of extra resistance. The practical result was 2 laps in I was off the back which is super embarrassing. The mechanic in neutral fixed the problem after I got pulled but had no real explanation as to how it happened. The bonus was that I got to see lots of friends like @sizzli_famous and the folks on @automatic_racing . I also got my first chance to start a longer convo with the legendary @realdealveal who is ageless. by @rob_e_kelly

Corner of 1st and M St today. Sitting in a bike lane at a red light. This guy decides to steal a scooter and clearly didn’t know how to drive it. He runs right over me and then spills the scooter up over the curb onto the sidewalk. I always ride with cameras now. The guy then flees when I call the police. A few minutes later the owner of the scooter comes out and gets on it and drives away without even caring about any of it despite me trying to tell him. Of course it all begs the question of why he left the keys in the ignition. by @rob_e_kelly

I absolutely could not be any prouder of our nephew Levi for graduating from med school this weekend down at the University of South Carolina. He is such an incredible human and I cannot wait to see what he does next!!! by @rob_e_kelly

Had a solid weekend down at @tour_of_newport_news . It is such a fun race and definitely something I look forward to every year. A pair of podiums, tons of smiles, and just incredible people. Thanks to @shortcycles for making me look good in the race shots. by @rob_e_kelly
